Why not "God" (English), "Theos" (Greek), "Allah" (Arabic), "Dios" (Spanish) or the equivalent word in yet some other language, or why not the politically correct "Higher Power" of Alcoholics and other "anonymous" Twelve Step programs? "Higher Power" means to most of these: "God, as we understand Him," which creates a challenge from the perspective of a Faith Explosion Workshop.
A Necessary ingredient of Faith Explosion Workshops is that intellectual understanding and the irrational belief systems such understanding often engenders is one of the obstacles in the way of acquiring a faith explosion.
"God" and the rest of the human contrivances which are employed to indicate the same thing - means too many different things to too many different people to convey anything meaningful.
The "SOURCE" is admittedly also a contrivance. However, the point of the workshops is to take us beyond how we understand anything - and there is certainly no effort to explain or define the SOURCE within a Faith Explosion Workshop.
Suggestion: Try not to attach your individual definition or understanding of "God," (by whatever other title or name) onto the SOURCE or you will have defeated the purpose.
Faith Explosion means coming to an epiphany - a heightened awareness - that you are inextricably connected to the SOURCE and, therefore, nothing is impossible to you. You are a conduit of healing and other "miracles" flowing directly from the SOURCE. Ego ownership results in an immediate cessation of the flow. A workshop exercise is devoted to practical ways to guard against ego involvement in what the SOURCE accomplishes.
