Creation-The First Day

Genesis 1:1- In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

Okay, but what does that have to do with my life? How can that help me live this life? I mean I believe that in the beginning God created the heaven and the earth but is there “Life “ in that Word for me? And of course the answer is yes just as there is life in all of the Word if it is read with the “Spirit of Life” and not just the “letter” of history and geography and science. If this and the other Words of God are not read with the Spirit of Truth all you get are words that feed the mind things from the past or future that have no substance for the now and so we will miss the point of the One Who gave us the Word. He is the “I Am” Who gives you substance for the now. There have been days that I just needed to get through, for the tribulation I was experiencing, and history and geography were not going to help me do that. When we first arrive at the Word we usually read it in the context of the “letter” of the Word and as we go on to hear and do it the words that we read last year or last month take on new meaning.

There was a point where I was in transition from the old life into the new. It was a time of desperation and I didn’t know what was happening and I couldn’t get a handle on anything. Deep inside I was calling out to God. I encountered a Gideon’s Bible and opened it. I flipped it open near the back and it opened to the first page of the book of Revelation. There was a note on the top of the page written by someone and it said, “make sure you reads this”. So I did because I was looking for anything to help me find my way. I was desperate. As I read it of course I didn’t understand it but seemed to get some comfort from reading the words for I believed that it was a sign from God for me and I was yearning for something to relieve the anguish of the lost feeling pervading my life appearing as death. I remember reading the part in Revelation 20, verse 4 that says “I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus and for the Word of God”. How clearly I remember praying a silent prayer telling God that I would be willing to be beheaded for Him, but that I just needed help. I meant it with all my heart. Have you ever been that desperate? Now we know that in this country in this time there are hardly any Christians literally being beheaded for the Word of God but I have come to see what it actually does mean for my life. I have traded my life for a new one. I have a new Head. Jesus is the Head of my life. Who is your head? Have you ever been at the head of the class? Are you the head of your household? Romans 12:2 says to be transformed (take on a new form) by the renewing of your mind. God took me at my word in that prayer. When someone comes to you for help and they need your favor because they’re in kind of a jam, and you help them, there is a feeling of gratefulness. But when someone is desperate and begs you to help them, for they are in dire need, or it’s you that needs the help to an immense degree (ever been there) then there is tremendous appreciation. I really meant it when I said that I was willing to be beheaded, and slowly but surely there is a new way of thinking going on upstairs (in my new head). As new thoughts of eternity and what that consists of enter, old thoughts of living for the temporary things and their unimportance are being cleared out. Truly I am being beheaded. What I didn’t know at the time of my desperation reading was that the old head would be replace by a New One, by the One Who wrote the Book.

So as I read “In the Beginning God” I think to myself what does that have to do with me. For if it is just history and it has no bearing on my life, it might as well be a science book. And although the Bible has facts about science and history it is not to me a science book but the book that has been feeding me with the life of God. Let’s look at the word “beginning”. Beginning is not something a long time ago. “Beginning is now”! You are beginning at this very moment to breathe that breath and to read this word and to think that thought and to feel that feeling. This is the beginning. The past is gone. The future is up ahead. But the beginning is now, although the past and the future are also now, but I don’t want to confuse the issue for we may start thinking too much and that would take away from being in the now (in the I Am) where there is a rest. Do you see that? Jesus, Who is the manifestation of the “I Am” says, “I am the Beginning and the End”. He is also everything in between, right now. We have been servants of “Time” and it should be the other way around. Time should be our servant. Eternity is not based on “Time”. Eternity is knowing God (John 17:3). So we see that In the Beginning was God. God was in Jesus when He created. 2Corinthians 5:2 says, “God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto Himself”. John 17:21 says, “that they all may be one; as Thou Father, are in Me.

Do you realize that your father is in you? In the natural whoever raised you and had the most input into your life is in you. Those who have put things into your life are in you. Some of these things may not be good. What we want to do is hang out with Father God and receive all that He has for us and therefore He is in us. We don’t want Him just to be in us but to rule over us so that He may teach us how to be rulers also. God is LOVE!

In the Beginning God created the heaven and the earth. John 1 says, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The Word was in the Beginning with God. Not only was God in Jesus but the Word was in Jesus with God. All things were made by Him and without Him was not anything made that was made. Later on the Word became flesh, and His Name is Jesus. The Word took on human flesh. This same Word was spoken by God and the world was created. You know, when I read the Word, I don’t allow it to become confusing. I just read it and swallow it because I trust it to be safe to eat and swallow. I may understand some of what I’m eating and later down the road I may understand something that I didn’t understand the last time I read it. But I don’t let myself get frustrated because I don’t understand it. If you take anything with you of what you’re reading, take that with you. The Word is Food. I may forget what I ate yesterday nevertheless what I ate nourished me and that’s what counts. “I am the Bread of Life”. You don’t have to understand what you eat. You just need to be nourished by the substance. The Word of God is food for your spirit. People feed their body during the day. They feed their mind knowledge. But the spirit, which is the center and main part of our being, also needs to be fed. More than needing to understand it needs to be fed, and that will only happen as a hunger is created. Blessed are the poor in spirit for they shall be fed. If you think you’ve got it, then you’ve missed it. Stop trying to understand and just pray for the spirit of wisdom and understanding (Ephesians 1:17&18). Without Him you can do nothing.

Okay, so God created the heaven and the earth. That’s nice. But what does that have to do with me? There were times that it seemed like everyone around me was walking in peace and I was a total mess, and I was a servant of God. If there is peace on the earth and I don’t have peace in my own being than what good does that do me. I mean I’m glad that the whole earth is at peace but I’m frustrated and don’t want to go see anybody for fear that I may ruin their peace because I don’t have any peace to give and I’ll seem to be a bummer. But on the other hand if there is turmoil throughout the whole earth and I’m at perfect peace on the inside and if I’m established in that peace then everywhere I go I can bring that peace that I am built upon. The circumstances will not change me but I will change the circumstances. God is a personal God. He loves you as if you were the only person on the face of the earth. The heaven and earth that He is operating on and creating is you. Actually it is already done, but we don’t realize it. As we walk through the lower elements of space and time, the manifestation of the new creation in us is being actualized.

Earth

The earth that concerns you the most is you. You are the only earth you have. Even the earth next door or up the street is out of sight and cannot affect or be affected by you unless you are there, whether in person, or in prayer (spirit). These bodies are made of the dust of the earth. No matter how highly you may think of yourself, you are still only a bag of dirt in your own self, and one heartbeat away from eternity. They say that the earth is comprised of 70% water or so. Do you know that your body is made up of about the same and is composed of all the elements that make up this great orb that we stand and revolve upon. God said “let us make man in our Image. Well, God is Spirit. If we are made in His Image then we also are spirit. God formed the prototype from which we came from the dust of the earth. Our body is our earth. When God breathed into the nostrils of Adam he became a living soul. We are spirit, we have a soul, and they are contained in an earth-en body while it lasts. The essence of our being is the part that is made in the Image of God, our spirit. That is the major part of us, the center, the part ”in the midst” of us. The soul is the woman in us (the emotions, the intellect, the will). In Spanish it is a feminine word “La Alma”. It is soil that receives the “seed”. And the body is our earthen house that carries the other two main or eternal parts. The goal is for our earth to be changed and made eternal also. Just as the global earth our earth is to revolve around the Son/sun and not around ourselves. In order for this to happen the spirit or crux or center must be the main base of operation. Our true Source is centered in our spirit (heaven).

Heaven

God is Spirit. So that is where He operates from, the spirit realm. That is in the center of you. The heavens that we see out here are to show us what is happening in the true eternal realm of the Spirit. The Kingdom of God is within you. It doesn’t come by observation. They won’t say, “look, it’s there; or look, it’s here. For behold, the Kingdom of God is within you” (in your spirit). The way it is to work is for God to sit upon the Throne in the Kingdom, and to rule and reign in our lives. If God isn’t on the throne, then we are saying, “look, I’m God”. Look at 2 Thessalonians 2:4. In the King James Version of the Bible in Matthew 6:10 it says, “Thy Kingdom come Thy will be done in earth (not on earth) as it is in Heaven. We have this Treasure (the Kingdom) in earth-en vessels (2 Corinth. 4:7). It was written that way for a purpose for it explains in clearer form that the Kingdom is within you, in your earth before it can come on the earth. If the Kingdom of peace, joy, and righteousness were on the earth but it was not functioning in you it wouldn’t do you much good except to let what is outside of you be in you. But if it were functioning from inside of you then you would be influencing the earth of others and as they received from you it would change their earth also. It’s an inside job! SEE?        Heaven is in your spirit and when that is realized by an awakening by drawing close to God, and as it is then fed and nourished and we take ourselves off the throne and place the rightful Owner on the Throne of our life, it then works it’s way outward to change or re-new our mind, until it finally re-news our earth (body). The biggest anti-Christ you have to be concerned with is you, yourself. You are the only one who can dethrone Christ though it will only be in your deceived mind that He is not King. Just as the sky is a tent for the sun, so your spirit is to be the Tabernacle of the Son Who gives Light and Warmth, and causes all things to grow.

So you can “see” how the heaven and the earth are being created in you by God through the Word, Jesus Christ.

Genesis 1:1- In the beginning (starting and continuing from now) God created the heaven and the earth.

Genesis 1:2- And the earth was without form and void, and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

We see that the earth was without form and void. Those of you who have done carpentry work know what a form is. A form contains and gives structure. Usually when I’ve done formwork it was a narrow form in which to pour concrete to form a wall or ledge or steps. God’s Word says that the earth was without form. Before I came to know Christ I walked any way I wanted and had no structure or form. The way in which I walked was broad and wide and it led to destruction. There was no form. Since I’ve come to the Lord there is a different walk that I take. It has form. It is straight and narrow. It is a structured path that leads to freedom and Life. The way that is broad and wide appears to be freedom but it leads to destruction- Matthew 7:14.  Your Word O Lord is a Light unto my path and a Lamp unto my feet. Many are those who walk that broad and wide path but few are willing to give up their own ego and allow the Lord of Life to lead them down the Path of Life on the Highway of Holiness, for the way up is down. We can follow the example of our Resurrected Lord who went down the Via Dolorosa, down to the Cross-, Who swallowed up death, and went down into Hades and before He rose took the Keys of Hell and Death and the Grave. Most want to live and therefore die. But you must die in order to live. Unless a “seed” fall into the ground and die it will abide by itself, but if it die it will bear much fruit. My life now has form. At times I follow it blindly like a baby. Other times I do my own thing and like Samson get my eyes poked out and again follow it leaning on the Lord by Faith until He again restores my sight that I might see the path better with more determination not to fall away. We walk and walk the Way of the Cross and while death is happening to the outer man of sin, Life is expanding on the inside, the inner man growing day by day.

The earth (our body) was without form and void. B.C.- Before Christ there was a void. There was an empty feeling inside. I tried to fill it with everything: sex, drugs, booze, relationships, sports, money, but nothing I found could fill it. It made me crazy. What can fill this void in my life? I knew that I was headed toward the grave. I had heard about hell and eternity and such. I had tried religion but found it wanting in filling this void. A void is a vacuum, a place of emptiness, therefore always desiring but never being filled. What was the answer? A void is like a bottomless pit. There is nothing to stand on, no solidity or foundation.

Returning to Genesis and the earth being without form and void we see that darkness was upon the face of the deep. Notice that darkness was not on or in the deep but on the face or surface of the deep. Most talk or conversation is superficial conversation even in business where things are changing all the time. Most families don’t like to get deep but like to stay on the surface where there is darkness. It appears to be light conversation, but it is actually dark producing no bond, not really building anything. Before Christ the deepest you can go is your soul, not getting to the HEART of the matter, which is spirit. It’s because there is no Light there to “see” what is happening. But for some who seek in order to find, who knock and ask and seek and knock, there is a response. For whoever draws close to God, God also draws close to them. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. The Spirit is the Breath and Energy of God. He is the Life of the Word. Genesis 1:3- And God said, “Let there be Light”; and there was Light. Now things begin to change. Before we were in darkness but now there is Light to “SEE”. We’re not afraid to go deeper for the Deep calls us and we now have a Light. The vacuum is no longer there. It’s been filled with Light. This Light has substance. It gives meaning to things otherwise mundane and useless, temporary. The void is filled, now no longer a void but a satisfaction, a knowing I’m where I’m supposed to be. We begin on the surface but desire to dig into the Word, which brought us the Light, and we go deeper into the earth where the treasures are. Oh, the surface is nice now, but there are places in the unknown just waiting to be explored. There are priceless “Treasures” buried in the depths wanting to be found by them who would dig and search and explore the depths, inside ourselves, below the surface into the DEEP. The treasures are not on the surface, lying on the ground. They are deep in the earth, and now we have a Light to find them. But we must search. Like a miner the Light is on the forehead, the foremost part of our thinking. Our mind, instead of being consumed with the affairs of this temporary scheme have realized not too late, that these superficial, fleeting things of the world are not of true value, but the things deep inside in the spirit are the true riches that have been hidden from our world, for we had no Light. We are determined to keep the Light in the front of our Head. It only shines a short distance in front of us but enough to see the next few steps, enough to notice the difference between gold and rock as we become experienced at mining for the True Riches in the Word of God, and doing what we know to do from that Word. I now have purpose!!

Genesis 1:4- And God saw the Light, that it was good; and God divided the Light from the darkness.

There was an old tune, “I saw the Light, I saw the Light, no more in darkness, no more in fright”. Do you “see” the Light?

Have you “seen” anything while reading this? Seeing the invisible comes by hearing. Not by hearing, but by hearing. Not with just your outer ears but the ears of the soul. You can see because you have Light. That’s GOOD! Here’s where God gets into math and He does some dividing. He divided the Light from the dark. We were walking in the dark but now we walk in the Light. You can’t walk in both, it’s one or the other. When we walk after the things of the
Spirit of God we are walking in the Light. When we walk after the flesh we are walking in the dark. When God said a little later on in Genesis that we were to be made in His Image, time was one of the factors. As we practice we get better. We learn to walk in the Spirit more and more as we continue in our quest for God. We learn to walk in the Spirit on our job, in our homes, in our recreation, etc. The more we decrease in our living for self, the more He increases in us teaching us to walk after the Spirit, or in a rest.
Light is Knowledge!
As we walk into a dark place we cannot see what is in it until we light a light, a candle, a lamp, or whatever we have to give us Light. Darkness is ignorance. “He left me in the dark”. He left me without knowledge of the situation. The greatest source of Light is the Sun/Son. When God said, then came the Word which created. John 1:3 says that all things were created by the Word. The Word is our Light but the Spirit of God must appear on the face of the waters in order to truly see. The Word and the Spirit combine to give us the Power to see. Let’s look at a few verses in the New Testament that give us more Light on the subject.

Look at 2 Corinthians 4:4-7: the god of this world has blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the Light of the glorious gospel of Christ, Who is the Image of God, should shine unto them. Notice that he didn’t blind their eyes, but he blinded their minds, because they don’t believe the Gospel of Christ. The spirit is in the depths and cannot be awakened for the mind which would allow entrance to the spirit has been blinded. It cannot see the true things, those of eternity and the spirit realm. The enemy that was in the Garden of Eden follows us all the way through time for the purpose of preventing the “Seed of Life” from being planted and awakened in the lives of humans. So we live our existence in the temporary, thinking that we are living our lives when the whole time we are blinded and cannot see the true Light. So you see that not believing the Gospel of Christ gives place to the enemy to blind us, to leave us in the dark while thinking we’re okay. We need the LIGHT!

Verse 6 says, “for God, Who commanded the Light to shine out of darkness, has shined in our hearts, to give the Light of the Knowledge of the Glory of God in the Face of Jesus Christ”. Do you see creation and how it relates to you? Do you “see” that He gave the Light of the Knowledge. Light is Knowledge. Darkness is ignorance. These are keys that will help you when you read the Bible. Do you see that the Light that shone out of darkness has shined where?…. in our hearts, in the midst, in the deep, in the spirit or the heart of the matter. Let’s get to the heart of the matter, the spirit. Let there be Light in your heart (spirit). That Light is the Word, the Incorruptible Seed of God that produces a New Creation man from the inside out. The Light is the Knowledge of God and who we are in Him, and He in us. Let there be light! And there was Light! This light is not the sun, for the sun was created on the 4th day. This is the first day, and the Light that shines is the Knowledge of God. We were children of the dark, but we become the children of Light when we believe and receive the gospel of Jesus Christ. And we can understand it. As we read it and receive it into our spirit where the new creation Christ man resides, and as we yield our right to rule our own life and place the all-Knowing One on the throne of our life, He reveals what was read and heard at the right time. What is given is the Knowledge of the Glory of God in the Face of Jesus Christ! That’s the Face of the deep. We will never exhaust the Knowledge of the deep One, Jesus Christ. We will start on the Face and eventually enter into the Mind. This is for those who have grown up into the Head, or the Government of God. Jesus is the Word and the Word is inexhaustible. Just like Light that travels at 186,000 miles per second and cannot be stopped, so is the Word, for the Word is the Light or the Knowledge of God.

Verse 7 of 2 Cor. 4 says, we have this Treasure in earthen vessels that the excellency of the power may be of God, not us.

When we “see” and realize the extraordinary greatness of the Knowledge, or Treasure that we find inside of us it sometimes becomes too much for us to handle being in this flesh form. We can do nothing else but give God Glory for revealing Himself to us in this vessel of weakness. The treasures are not found on the surface. You must dig and continue the search without giving up. As you seek you find much more than you could hope for. Lately I get the urge to pick up my guitar and the harness and harmonica and sing an old Neil Young song, “Heart of Gold”. I’ve been a miner for a heart of gold. Keep me searchin’ for a heart of gold. The Treasure is down on the inside, in your heart.

Genesis 1:5- And God called the Light day, and the darkness He called night, and the evening and the morning were the

1st Day
