How
Well Do You Know Jesus?
Father has been showing me this Truth for several years, and He is leading me to
allow Him to speak this Truth. I want it completely understood that I am, in no
way, doing away with JESUS. ( it could NEVER be done!) This is an in-depth
knowing of Him. I ask that you read this study completely through, study it out,
and take it to Father.
We will be looking at much scripture, so please read them for yourself and allow
the Holy Spirit to enlighten those that need it.
John 17:1-5, "These words spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and
said, Father the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify
thee: (2) As thou hast given him power overall the flesh, that he should give
eternal life to as many as thou hast given him. (3) And this is life eternal,
that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom thou hast
sent. (4) I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which
thou gavest me to do. (5) And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self
with the glory which I had with thee before the world was."
This scripture plays a big part in this study. In this study we want to look at
the different realms or levels of understanding.
Much of what will be a part of this study, we've heard since we were babes in
the Lord. (babe=tec-ni-on an unlearned son). But, some of us have been lifted,
by Father, into a higher realm of son. (tec-non=an adolescent son who has moved
to a position of being between a babe and a matured one.) Then, some have moved
into the realm of maturing. (whee-os= a mature son.)
As we were elevated in Father, we received enlightenment of a different level of
understanding, a deeper meaning of some of the same scriptures that we read as
babes. I am hoping that this study will help to release a deeper understanding
of our Saviour, Jesus, the Christ.
As a babe, we knew Jesus as:
MT 1:23, "BEHOLD, A VIRGIN SHALL BE WITH CHILD, AND SHALL BRING FORTH A SON, AND
THEY SHALL CALL HIS NAME, EMMANUEL, WHICH BEING INTERPRETED IS, GOD WITH US."
MT 2:1-2, "NOW WHEN JESUS WAS BORN IN BETHLEHEM OF JUDAEA IN THE DAYS OF HEROD
THE KING, BEHOLD, THERE CAME WISE MEN FROM THE EAST TO JERUSALEM, (2) SAYING,
WHERE IS HE THAT IS BORN KING OF THE JEWS? FOR WE HAVE SEEN HIS STAR IN THE EAST
AND ARE COME TO WORSHIP HIM."
LUKE 1:31, "AND, BEHOLD, THOU SHALT CONCEIVE IN THY WOMB, AND BEING FORTH A SON,
AND SHALT CALL THE NAME JESUS."
LUKE 2:7, "AND SHE BROUGHT FORTH HER FIRSTBORN SON, AND WRAPPED HIM IN SWADDLING
CLOTHES, AND LAID HIM IN A MANGER; BECAUSE THERE WAS NO ROOM FOR THEM IN THE
INN."
And as we were raised higher in the Lord, as adolescent sons, or as young men,
we knew Jesus as, the Son of God.
LUKE 3:21-23, "NOW WHEN ALL THE PEOPLE WERE BAPTIZED, IT CAME TO PASS, THAT
JESUS ALSO BEING BAPTIZED, AND PRAYING, THE HEAVEN WAS OPENED, (22) AND THE HOLY
GHOST DESCENDED IN A BODILY SHAPE LIKE A DOVE UPON HIM, AND A VOICE CAME FROM
HEAVEN, WHICH SAID, THOU ART MY BELOVED SON; IN THEE I AM WELL PLEASED. (23) AND
JESUS HIMSELF BEGAN TO BE ABOUT THIRTY YEARS OF AGE, BEING (AS WAS SUPPOSED) THE
SON OF JOSEPH, ..."
JOHN 1:29, "THE NEXT DAYJOHN SEETH JESUS COMING UNTO HIM, AND SAITH, BEHOLD THE
LAMB OF GOD, WHICH TAKETH AWAY THE SIN OF THE WORLD."
Then, we knew Him, as a mature Son, in the fulfillment of what he came for:
ACTS 1:8, "bUT YE SHALL RECEIVE POWER AFTER THAT THE HOLY GHOST IS COME UPON
YOU: AND YE SHALL BE WITNESSES UNTO ME BOTH IN JERUSALEM, AND IN ALL JUDAEA, AND
IN SAMARIA, AND UNTO THE UTTERMOST PART OF THE EARTH."
1PETER 1:19-21, "BUT, WITH THE PRECIOUS BLOOD OF CHRIST, AS OF A LAMB WITHOUT
BLEMISH AND WITHOUT SPOT: (20) WHO VERILY WAS FOREORDAINED BEFORE THE FOUNDATION
OF THE WORLD, BUT WAS MANIFEST IN THESE LAST TIMES FOR YOU, (21) WHO BY HIM DO
BELIEVE IN GOD, THAT RAISED HIM UP FROM THE DEAD, AND GAVE HIM GLORY: THAT YOUR
FAITH AND HOPE MIGHT BE IN GOD."
This is how we have known Jesus. Now, we're going back and gain a deeper
understanding of knowing Jesus. In order to know, truly know, Jesus, we must
know our Father. So, lets look at what the Written Word tells us.
FATHER
This is a very controversial subject.
Some believe that God is three separate Beings: (1) Father, (2) Son, (3) and
Holy Spirit. They believe that each of them has a separate work to do. Father
does the creating; the Son does salvation work, and the Holy Spirit does the
"making possible" for the gifts of Pentecost to manifest in us, His people.
Some believe that Father, Son and Holy Spirit are one Being with three
functions.
So, lets allow the Written Word to clear up these beliefs, and show us
exactly, Father's Being.
First of all, we have, for so long, been taught incorrectly. We have been taught
that
"in the beginning, there was the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit."
THIS IS NOT IN THE BIBLE!!
1John 5:7-8, "For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the
WORD, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one."
Some people say that this scripture simply shows that the three "are in
agreement with each other. Although, the three ARE in agreement with each other,
this is NOT what this scripture is talking about. This scripture is
saying that the three are ONE. ONE BEING. The very next scripture
proves this.
VS 8, "AND THERE ARE THREE THAT BEAR WITNESS IN EARTH, THE SPIRIT, AND THE
WATER, AND THE BLOOD: AND THESE THREE AGREE IN ONE."
This tells us that these are three different things, BUT, they AGREE with each
other. Most importantly, it DOES NOT say, that the three witnesses in
heaven are "the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit". It tells us that, it
was/is "the Father, the Word and the Holy Spirit."
Father is ONE Being. And as Creator, HE thought His plan, and HE spoke HIS
thoughts, and HE brought into manifestation the thoughts that HE spoke. It was
Mary, who the Creator thought of, spoke His thought, and brought into
manifestation, the Son that was conceived and brought forth through her. It was
ALL the work of Father God, our Creator.
And, just as He created US: His Written Word tells us:
"TAKE
EVERY THOUGHT CAPTIVE", ALSO, "LIFE AND DEATH ARE IN THE POWER OF THE TONGUE,
(SPEAKING)" AND AS FOR THE MANIFESTING: "THEY THAT LOVE IT (THE WORDS WE SPEAK)
SHALL EAT THE FRUIT OF IT (THOSE WORDS SPOKEN BY US.)
(the manifestation of the thought and spoken word.)
Now, we see in this, three different functions, but, ONE person, doing the
three.
There is a huge difference in "being in agreement" and in "being one".
Being "in agreement" with means" thinking alike, believing the same thing or
being in one accord.
"Being one" means: ONE thinking, ONE believing, One unit or person.
A good and accurate example of "being one", is us, or Father God. Although, we
have lived life believing that there is God, and then there is us. THAT MAKES
TWO.
There are three realms in God, in our walk in Him: (1)the creating of us by God.
(Him and us). (2) our becoming His Son. (Him and us). (3) then, there those who
KNOW that they began of (out from within) Father's Being and are full
circle, back in His Being. (ONE). We will get deeper into this a little
later in the study. (1John 5:7)
Right now I want to look at, DEATH. Now, we know that had Jesus have chosen to
do so, death could not take His life. It was the flesh body that death touched,
NOT WHO WAS LIVING IN THAT FLESH BODY. And who was living inside that
flesh body? It was Father.
1TIM 3:16, "AND WITHOUT CONTROVERSY, GREAT IS THE MYSTERY OF GODLINESS:
GOD WAS MANIFEST IN THE FLESH, JUSTIFIED IN THE SPIRIT, SEEN OF ANGELS, PREACHED
UNTO THE GENTILES, BELIEVED IN THE WORLD, RECEIVED UP INTO GLORY."
Who preached unto the gentiles? This verse tells us that God did. We know that
the flesh that God manifested in was the man Jesus. It was through Jesus that
Father preached unto the gentiles. This whole verse is about GOD. He had to have
a flesh body in order to see death.
Father HAD to manifest in a flesh body, because HE COULD NOT DIE.
JOHN 1:1, "IN THE BEGINNING WAS THE WORD, AND THE WORD WAS WITH GOD, AND THE
WORD WAS GOD."
It was Father living HIS LIFE through the flesh man,Jesus.
JOHN 5:19, "THEN ANSWERED JESUS AND SAID UNTO THEM, VERILY, VERILY, I SAY UNTO
YOU, THE SON CAN DO NOTHING OF HIMSELF, BUT WHAT HE SEETH THE FATHER DO: FOR
WHAT THINGS SOVEVER HE DOETH, THESE ALSO DOETH THE SON LIKEWISE."
JOHN 6:33, "FOR THE BREAD OF (out from within) GOD IS HE WHICH COMETH DOWN FROM
HEAVEN AND GIVETH LIFE UNTO THE WORLD."
JOHN 10:30, "I AND MY FATHER ARE ONE."
JOHN 14:10, "BELIEVETH THOU NOT THAT I AM IN THE FATHER, AND THE FATHER IN ME?
THE WORDS THAT I SPEAK UNTO YOU I SPEAK NOT OF (OUT FROM WITHIN) MYSELF; BUT
THE FATHER THAT DWELLETH IN ME, HE DOETH THE WORKS."
I know that we all know that Father lived in Jesus, and it was Father doing the
works and doing the speaking. And all through the gospel of John , Father is
telling us this. He is telling us that He (Father) manifested as the man Jesus.
Even the name, Jesus, Father planned before the foundation of the world.
It was not God AND Jesus. It was God, with a name that was above all the names
He had previously been called. You see God did not have a flesh body.
John 4:24, "GOD IS A SPIRIT; AND THEY THAT WORSHIP HIM MUST WORSHIP HIM IN
SPIRIT AND IN TRUTH." (Acts 17:24-29, 2Cor 3:17).
God manifested as the flesh man, Jesus. God walked the earth in that flesh body,
as the Son. God "lowered Himself" from that Spirit world, into this natural
world, and walked it for 33 1/2 years. God took on a name that was higher than
any name He had ever been known as, Jesus. God allowed, even planned for that
flesh body to die, for us, and then returned to the position of being Father,
and WE became the flesh Son, on earth. (which we will get into later in this
study.) God NEVER had a PERMANENT flesh body to dwell in, UNTIL US. He never
planned to be the flesh man Jesus, forever. He planned on being the flesh man
Jesus, until resurrection. Upon resurrection, He returned to being Father, with
the name, Jesus.
We know that God has always used the number, 3. Outer court, Holy Place, Most
Holy place; spirit, soul, body; babe son, adolescent son, mature son; common
salvation, salvation of the body, complete salvation; thought, word,
manifestation, etc.
In our walk, in Him, there are 3 steps: salvation, Pentecost, perfection
(manifested). He is our PATTERN. He also, had 3 steps: Father, our Creator,
Son, our salvation, and then what? The third step of God was that HE RETURNED
TO THE POSITION OF BEING FATHER. As a PATTERN, we are to follow those same 3
steps: we came out of Father, we became Sons, and some will go full circle, back
to Fatherhood, or Father Consciousness. (more about this later.)
THE NAMES OF GOD
I know that most have had the teachings of the Names that God was known by, but,
please bear with me.
We know that in each individual book of the Old Testament, Father was known and
called, by a Name that described the work He did, in each particular and
individual book. In one book He was called
El SHADDAI
"the Great Breasted One" and the work He was doing was nourisher, the all
bountiful. (Gen 17:1) ; in another book, He was known and called
JEHOVAH ROPHEKA
and the work He was doing, was as the healer; (Ex 15: 26). JEHOVAH
SHALOM
and the work He was doing, was being Peace. (Judges 6:24) ;
JEHOVAH ROI
and the work that He was showing was as the Shepherd. (PS 23:1);
EL ELYON,
the Most High God. In the New Testament, He is known and called
Jesus,
God with us. "NAME
ABOVE ALL NAMES"
that He had ever been called.
What does all this mean? It means that He worked individual works under
individual names, in the Old Testament. But, in the New Testament, the reason
His Name,
Jesus,
is above all those other names that He had been known as, is that NOW, He has
finished His Work , in heaven and earth. He sustains, He nourishes, He protects,
He heals, He is our peace, our only shepherd etc, all in ONE Name, the Name
above ALL the other names that He was known as. And the reason His name,
Jesus, is above all the other Names
is because He finished His Work: He came in the likeness of a flesh man; He came
as a Pattern, to lay out the realm of Sonship; He came that He could live in us
PERMANENTLY; He came that we might have eternal life, as HIS LIFE! He came as
our Saviour. And after all this was done, what did He tell us?
HE TOLD US TO KNOW JESUS NO MORE AFTER THE FLESH?
Well, as we take a look at the Written Word, about Jesus, the first thing that
I want to look at is, IS 9:6.
IS 9:6, "FOR UNTO US A cHILD IS BORN, UNTO US A SON IS GIVEN; AND THE
GOVERNMENT SHALL BE UPON HIS SHOULDER; AND HIS NAME SHALL BE CALLED, WONDERFUL,
COUNSELOR, THE MIGHTY GOD, THE EVERLASTING FATHER...."
Now, we are getting to the heart of our study. I know that some are saying,
"WHY is she teaching something we learned years ago?"
And I'll tell you why. We have people praying to Jesus, the flesh man, we have
people worshipping Jesus, the flesh man, and we have people who STILL have
Father AND Jesus the flesh man. IF one is praying to their God, and they don't
really know who their God is, I would say that they are praying amiss!! They
pray to the Son of God, when they don't really know WHO the Son of God is!! You
see, Jesus, the flesh man cannot be Father AND the Son, now. Father and Son are
two different positions. And EACH AND EVERY ONE OF US IS CALLED JESUS, AFTER
OUR FATHER! (Eph 3:14-16). We carry our Father's name! We do reverence the Work
that Father did, as our Saviour, Jesus. That was FATHER. (IS 43:3, Ho 13:4, IS
43:11, IS 60:16, Luke 1:47, 1Tim 4:10). Father was and still is the ONLY ONE
GOD. He took on many forms throughout His plan for us, but, He is still our
Father, Jesus.
We will look at this, later, when we look at what John writes of Jesus.
JESUS
There is SO MUCH that can be learned from knowing about Father, as Jesus the
Son.
1) Why was Jesus called "the ONLY Begotten Son"? Because we did not know who we
were, at that time. Now, we do. We did not begin, when this flesh body that we
wear came forth from the lady we call, Mom. We were BEGOTTEN at the very
beginning. We came forth out of God. A literal part of Him. And like Him, that
never changed. The only thing that changed was our thinking, about who we are.
We are not human beings. Oh yes, the natural eyes, and those unlearned will tell
us that we are, but, it's a lie, that has been believed for so long, by so many.
We are SPIRIT BEINGS. We were created in His Image and He is a SPIRIT. That
never changes. And that Spirit Being is being seen more and more, by those whose
eyes are tuned to the Truth.
2) Why did Jesus say:
JOHN 14:6, "JESUS SAITH UNTO HIM, I AM THE TRUTH, AND THE LIFE, NO MAN COMETH
UNTO THE FATHER, BUT BY ME."
Did you notice what Jesus said?
"...I AM THE LIFE".
He is Father's Life. That's the life that Jesus was. Just as we are. Father
lived His Life, through Jesus, the flesh man, and now He's living His Life
through us. God is still Father and we are His Sons, but, some will leave this
realm of Sonship and continue on into Fatherhood. The Son listens to and speaks
what His Father says. But, those who enter Fatherhood, will have the same
thoughts that Father has, will speak the words that Father speaks, because
"THEY ARE AND WILL BE WHAT HE IS, IN THIS WORLD".
Ok, let's go one. Jesus said, "no
man can come to Father, except by or through me."
At the time, that was a true statement. Jesus had not died, yet. The Holy Spirit
was not indwelling everyone. God, being Spirit, one could only come to Him by
the Holy Spirit. NOW, the statement takes on different meaning, because people
CAN come to Father through US, His Son!
Folks, we must keep in mind, that the first four books of the New Testament
IS NOT NEW TESTAMENT, THEY ARE STILL OLD TESTAMENT. The New Testament did
not begin UNTIL the death, burial and resurrection. The Spirit did not indwell
everyone UNTIL AFTER. Jesus was under the law. The disciples were under the
law. The law was still in full force. As long as Jesus was still alive, the law
could not be fulfilled. This is a type of the Tabernacle of Moses. The
Outer Court, is law. Jesus was the Outer Court until His death. The Holy Place,
was Spirit. Pentecost. Where we worked BOTH under the law AND the Spirit,
UNTIL we stepped behind the veil of the Holy of Holies. We read all through
MATTHEW< MARK < LUKE AND JOHN, Judge, Judge, Judge, but, AFTER Jesus died, and
the Holy Spirit came, we are not to judge. Can you see the different. If we see
or hear someone criticize us, or treat us badly, are we to judge their actions?
NO!!! We are to LOOK FOR AND CALL FORTH THE CHRIST IN THEM. When we judge
them, we are actually judging ourselves, because we KNOW that thing ,that we see
in them, in ourselves or we would not recognize it. But, if we see the Christ in
them, we can't see that thing that the natural would see. If we look for the
Christ in them, we see FATHER'S LIFE in them. Remember, the things of the Spirit
are invisible to the natural eye.
3) I want to take a close look at another scripture, regarding Jesus, the flesh
man.
JOHN 20:16-17, "JESUS SAITH UNTO HER, MARY. SHE TURNED HERSELF, AND SAITH UNTO
HIM, RABBONIE; WHICH IS TO SAY, MASTER. (17) JESUS SAITH UNTO HER, TOUCH ME NOT;
FOR I AM NOT YET ASCENDED TO MY FATHER; BUT GO TO MY BRETHREN, AND SAY
UNTO THEM, i ASCEND UNTO MY FATHER AND YOUR FATHER; AND TO MY GOD AND YOUR
GOD."
What Jesus is telling Mary is that He has not returned to Fatherhood, to the
position of being Father, instead of the Son. He had to ascend back into being
Father and God. He could not allow flesh hands (carnal) to have any part of Him.
A new beginning was about to take place.
JOHN 20:26-28, "AND AFTER EIGHT DAYS AGAIN HIS DISCIPLES WERE WITHIN, AND THOMAS
WITH THEM; THEN CAME JESUS, THE DOORS BEING SHUT, AND STOOD IN THE MIDST, AND
SAID, "PEACE". THEN SAITH HE TO THOMAS, "REACH HITHER THY FINGER, AND BEHOLD MY
HANDS; AND REACH HITHER THY HAND, AND THRUST IT INTO MY SIDE; AND BE NOT
FAITHLESS BUT BELIEVING." AND THOMAS ANSWERED AND SAID UNTO HIM, "MY LORD AND
MY GOD".
Jesus had ascended back to being in the position of Father. NOW, He could be
touched. And notice what Thomas called Him, "my Lord, my GOD." Father
had fulfilled the part of His plan of Sonship. He no longer needed a flesh body
in the form of His Son, because NOW the Holy Spirit had entered and Sonship was
now in the world, in a many membered body. And this was His 3rd step in His
plan. He went from Father, to Son, and back to being Father and He had Sons and
some ot them would do the same thing. Hallelujah!!
So, now we are not to know the flesh man Jesus the Son, we are to know OUR
FATHER AND GOD, whose name is JESUS, Name above all names, that was previously
known.
4)
JOHN 17:4-5, "I HAVE GLORIFIED THEE ON THE EARTH; I HAVE FINISHED THE WORK WHICH
THOU GAVEST ME TO DO."
Notice the word "gavest". This is a PAST TENSE word. Jesus, the flesh man, the
Son, had finished the work. His work was done. It DID NOT go on, as the Son. We
seen in the written Word, words with "eth", on the end of them; which "ith"
means, a continuing, on going, This word is definitely, past tense. The Son,
Jesus, had finished the work. And yet, all through Jesus' Words, in the bible,
He constantly tells us that
"it is Father who does the works".
So, the Son, then says:
VS 5, "AND NOW, O FATHER, GLORIFY ME WITH THINE OWN SELF WITH THE GLORY WHICH
I HAD WITH THEE BEFORE THE WORLD WAS."
He is saying,
"I am returning to who I was in the beginning. Father God, the Creator". I am no
longer the man who walked in the flesh as a Son, I am Father."
There is ONE GOD and ONE FATHER. We cannot have Jesus the Son, the flesh man as
God and Father, and have Father as God and Father. It was ONE DOING TWO WORKS<
GO.
Folks, you may think that this is important, but it is everything to us. For
one, it's a Pattern. ALL are Sons, but all Sons will not be Fatherhood
Conscious. Some believe that all sons manifest at the same time, but, that's not
true, as some know they have already manifested and most don't know this. It
will be the same with Fatherhood. There is a race to be ran, and all will not
win the coveted prize. There will be no losers, but the prize goes to the ones
who completes the race. (His Plan). MOST will have the son Consciousness. Most
don't even realize that NOW we are the MANIFESTED SON. Because their eyes are on
the works THAT FATHER DOES, their eyes are on works and the glory THEY will
take, not the Father. Pentecost showed us a preview of that. Even though, those
works will come THROUGH the Son, as they did when God walked as the Son, it will
be the Father doing those works. Many are waiting to be Sons; many are waiting
to be Manifested Sons, but, they don't even KNOW who their Father really is.
They think that their Father is the man, the flesh man Jesus who walked the
earth. Many will not even pray, without saying, "in Jesus' name. Amen." When
they don't even realize that that means, "In Father's NATURE, so be it." JESUS
is Father, not the Son. WE ARE HIS SONS.
It was God who walked through the flesh Son of God, Jesus, but, it was Father
manifested into that man. (1Tim 3:16). It was God, has always been God, and will
always be God. I am not doing away with the flesh man JESUS, it's just that we
need to know who HE REALLY WAS. It was the flesh man who died, but it was Christ
that was raised from the dead. And Chris it Father's Life in a person. (Rom
6:4).
If only people would get a real grip on the word "Christ". We are Father's
Christ on earth, but we are not that flesh man Jesus. Jesus, the Christ, simply
means , Jesus, the anointed one of God. Which is what we are now, since His Holy
Spirit indwells us. You notice that Jesus was called Jesus, the Christ (John
1:41, 20:31, 1:20, Luke 2:26, 3:15, Mark 8:29, 14:61, Mt 16:16, 16:63)) He was
the anointed on of God.
Then we see at the ending of His ministry He is called Christ Jesus, (1Tim 1:15,
1Cor 1:30, 1Tim 2:5). The difference being, that as the flesh man, it was the
anointing of God working, as Christ Jesus, the anointing was Him, as God. The
anointing belongs to ONLY ONE, Father, because the anointing is Father's Life.
It is not ours, it is His Life working through us.
Be blessed.
This will be the last study until the end of March or beginning of April
Let us continue to seek God until we awake fully in His likeness, and remember,
"When He appears we shall be like Him, for we shall see him as he is"
(1 John 3:2).
