THE
SIGNS IN THE SONS AT THE LAST DAYS
"But know this, that in the last days perilous times shall
come" 2Tim.3:1 KJV.
"And I saw another mighty angel come down from heaven, clothed with
a cloud; and a rainbow was upon His head, and His face was as it were the Sun,
and his feet as pillars of fire. And He had in His hand a little book open; and
HE SET HIS RIGHT FOOT UPON THE SEA (Humanity Rev.] 7:1,15), and HIS LEFT FOOT ON
THE EARTH (Adamic man)" Rev. 10:1-2. "For our conversation is in
heaven; from whence also we look for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ; who
shall change our vile body that it may be fashioned like unto His glorious body,
according to the working whereby He is able even to subdue all things unto
Himself' Phil.3:20-21.
As I draw the curtain on the subject "the signs of the last
days", though there is still a lot more that can be unveiled, I would want
to indicate here, using the above two Scriptures in Revelation and Philippians,
that the ultimate victory of Christ over all realms of Creation is indisputable.
Therefore if anything else, we should be thinking of the onward march of the
victory of Christ universally in and through His people to all people. This is
the meaning of the two Scriptures so quoted above. In exercising His Kingdom
dominion over all realms of creation, He has His foot on the Sea (Humanity at
large) and the land (Adamic nature that has kept all men in bondage to sin). The
exercise of this authority of His is being ministered from His heavenly throne
in man - the spirit, moving towards the Soul and then the outer man - the body,
by His Spirit indwelling "according to the working whereby HE is able even
to subdue ALL THINGS unto Himself". Ultimately this our vile body of
corruption will be changed unto His glorious body as we constantly behold Him in
our Spirit man where He dwells. 2Cor.3:18; 2Cor.13:5. We must realize that, the
power that is changing us is not coming from outside of us such that we should
be looking at the sky for a man called Jesus. Rather our focus should be on the
Spirit of Him who dwelleth in us as per the Son of God (Gal.4:6). This is why we
read that "May Christ (that you are waiting for these donkey years) through
your faith (actually) dwell - settle down, abide, make His permanent home - in
your hearts! ...that you may really come to know - practically, through
experience for yourselves - the love of Christ (God so love the world that He
gave His Son - Jn. 3:16) which surpasses mere knowledge (without experience) (in
other words, our knowledge of who Christ the Son of God is should go beyond
merely knowing about the Jesus of Nazareth of two thousand yeas ago, rather we
should truly come to know by practical experience who the Son of God is now)
that you may be filled (through all your being) unto all the fullness of God -
(that is ) may have the richest measure of the divine presence, and become a
body wholly filled and flooded with God Himself. Now to Him (Christ) who, by (in
consequence of) the (action of His) power that is at work within us, is able to
(carry out His purpose (i. e. subduing all things unto Himself and) do super
abundantly, far over and above all that we (dare) ask or think - infinitely
beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts, hopes or dreams - (of a
rapture?)" Eph.3:17-20 AMP. Can you comprehend that? Now understand that
the subduing of the nations (mankind) is directly connected to the "little
book open" in the hand of the mighty angel (Rev.10:1-2) and it is as we
begin to comprehend by revelation the information contained in that little book
of the love of God that sacrificed His only begotten Son for the Salvation of
all mankind, that we can truly know the meaning of redemption, even as it is
contained in the Spirit of the Son working in us. THE
SIGNS IN HIS PEOPLE As
I was writing on this subject a book came to hand through Rev. Omole P. K. (a
very precious brother in the Lord) written by Jane Leade in 1699 titled
"The Signs of the Times..." I feel led to quote extensively from it in
concluding this study for now as I see the contents to have prophetic insight of
that which we are considering. Commenting on the people and the signs on whom
the Kingdom of God should appear, "at first invisibly and internal and
afterwards, visible and external", she said "This will be in such
qualified persons as have been separated and called out of this worldly
principle to see to the ends of their own earth and tfieir sun, moon and stars
of the rational and sensitive life, that ruled and governed in the earthly part,
to be darkened and fall away. This is an evident sign that the true Son of Glory
will break forth and enlighten the whole inward heavens and earth in man. Thus
He will set foot in the inward ground of the heart that it may be His Throne -
habitation, (remember that the footstool of the King is associated with His
throne. Compare Lam. 2:1) there to reign until He subdues every thought, and
every motion made subject to Him. Then shall the heavens and earth, in the new
creature rejoice that the King of Glqry has taken to Him great powers to reign
internally in the Omnipotence of His Spirit. SEVEN
SIGNS FOLLOWING AND THE SEVENFOLD PROCESS
As it is thus invisibly made manifest, so it will open itself also and
spread into a visible Kingdom. There are seven visible signs that will make out
the dominion and Kingdom in its first appearance in whatsoever persons it shall
open.
The first is dying marks, whereby they are thoroughly slain and crucified
to the love of inferior things pertaining to this earthly principle and Kingdom.
The second sign is that there shall have been a sowing into the death and
perfect crucifixion, so that it rises and light becomes a resurrection - plant
in the love - principle and light - Kingdom. Here is all liberty, power and
might to act and do visibly, according to the property of Christ's Resurrection
- Life. Nothing of the worldly principle can any more touch or bind them down,
being translated from out of the power and dominion of satanic kingdom.
The third sign that follows is the marks of the Ascension into those
goodly tents which Christ, the Kingly Shepherd, has pitched for them near
Himself. Here they may have free and immediate recourse to Him and He to them,
receiving the impression and similitude of their Lord and having such relation
to Him by standing so near His glorified figure.
The fourth sign is their being constituted and deputed by virtue. of the
gift of the Holy Ghost to bear rule and government over the starry
constellations and earthly elements (as to their malice) so that no destruction
or wounding weapons can enter here. Nothing contrary to God's love can enter
here because those in this place are encircled with the eternal burning element
of God Himself which will devour all pricking thorns and briers that shall
spring up and set themselves against them but which must turn to dust and ashes
before them.
The fifth sign is the opening of the mighty spring of the Spirit of Faith
that shall rise and conquer all self-reasoning so as not to admit of any doubt
or staggering ... which faith in (His) great name must produce those mighty
works and deeds mentioned by our Lord after His resurrection as the signs that
shall follow them that believe. - `In my name shall ye cast out devil, they
shall speak with new tongues, they shall take up serpents and if they drink any
deadly thing, it shall not hurt them. They shall lay their hands on the sick and
they shall recover'. Now by virtue of these mighty acting powers, redemption
will be wrought out, setting free from the burdens and oppressions, penuries,
maladies and other miseries that the whole creation has groaned under for so
many ages. From this no deliverance can be until these resurrection powers can
come down to rest upon those who are to be the first risen witnesses hereof.
The sixth sign will be the great amazing wonder of all appearances that
yet have been. A new paradise shall again spring in the midst of this worldly
Babylonish principle, ...They (those partaking of the new life) shall be
commanders both of what is needful in the upper world and in the nether world.
No need of taking thought for this or that which belongs to the outward bodily
state, for it will be given them as they stand united with Christ their Head, to
possess the earth and to inherit all things.
The seventh sign is putting on transfiguration. which will be accompanied
with the descent and appearance of Christ in them, in His Glorified figure by
the glimpse of which glory they are transfigured into the express image of His
bright body. To this prepared spouse, a voice was heard saying, `Arise, shine,
for thy light is come and the glory of thy Bridegroom is now become they
covering'. The marriage here will be consummated from the High - Throne majesty,
who gives His full concurrence. Now what may be less expected from this
matrimonial unity but such an offering and new creation of spirits that may be
all pure and perfect as was designed by the Father of eternity to bring forth
after His own similitude before Adam's fall. This was God's original purpose and
could never be made void, though a stop was permitted to be put to it
temporarily in order for the bringing forth of the manifold (and very highest)
wisdom and wonders by Him who was from eternal generation, the Son of God. By
Him all that was lapsed was to be repaired again to far greater advantage, which
in the concluding part of all, secrets will be made manifest for the admiration
and astonishment to all throughout the whole universe of God's creation"

With this I hope to leave you in the hand of the father for the spirit of
truth to bring to you a further revelation of the Father's will concerning His
creation that you may not be "tossed to and fro, and carried about with
every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby
they lie in wait to deceive". Eph.4:14. KJV. THE
