There are three experiences that an individual can have in God. The first is the born-again, or salvational experience. This is a personal event in one's life when the individual seeks out God, as God has even sought Him (John 6:44). There is a desire to repent and change one's ways. Sometimes called salvation or a Passover experience. The second experience is found in the experience of the Baptism of the Holy Spirit. It is similar to what happened to the disciples and is referenced in 1 Corinthians 12. The disciples received the Holy Spirit before Pentecost (John 20:22) but after the resurrection. The experience at Pentecost was 'with power' of the Spirit. This power is evidenced by the gifts of the Spirit - not anyone in particular. The book of Acts shows some had the Holy Spirit gifts without the speaking in tongues. Contrary to some denominational doctrine, God does not change and is the same today as He was - thus giving us the availablility of these gifts today, whether some accept it or not. The third experience, which is not taught often, is that of union with Christ in this life. It is called by those that teach it -Tabernacles, after the third feast of the Old Testament. It follows Passover and Pentecost. For those of you who have experienced the first two feasts in your life, do not reject the third which is available to you. Wrtie us for more information or look at our booklet - Manifesting the feast of Tabernacles. But please look at the chart below which is based on scripture and the three experiences.
