Light. Darkness. What is the real difference? Light cannot have darkness in it. But darkness can have light in it - "And the light shines in darkness, and the darkness comprehends it not."(John 1:5). Since light can be in darkness, does darkness control the light? By no means. Light can be in darkness. But darkness cannot be in light.

John brings out clearly that in the beginning was the WORD. The WORD was with God and was God. All things were made through Him. In Him was life and the life was the LIGHT of men (John 1:1-4). Now this word WORD in the Greek is LOGOS. The Greeks used the word logos to express a divine principle of creation but without an incarnation. It is obvious that John uses the word with the concept of a divine principle of creation WITH an incarnation, which as Paul says was made manifest in the last days - Jesus Christ.

Where Christians must be careful is specifically in their understanding of the word LOGOS. The Greek pagan philosophy was that the LOGOS was to shape life according to the true being of the LOGOS. To them revelation was simply the perception of the inner law of self and all reality. The consequence of this concept to the pagan is the principle of harmony. This eastern philosophy that has transcended time and greatly influenced the Western world, is not what John was expressing.

The New Testament LOGOS is different. Here John expresses the WORD as a Mediator who expresses His intimate concern with the world and demands action based upon His claims. Where the pagan concept of LOGOS seeks to get you in harmony with the world, the Christian concept of LOGOS seeks to get the world in harmony with God. Where the Greek concept of LOGOS would accept the idea of a son of God within the confines of an unfolding plan of eternity, it would not accept an ONLY BEGOTTEN Son of God.

Thus, when we are talking about the WORD of God, who is the LIGHT, we are not talking about harmony and convergence of the eternal plan of God as identified with each person - who is seeking to find his/her true self, as the Greek pagans of today would. Although some who see the sonship message might be so discussing such! Rather when we talk about the fullness, the LOGOS being expressed through a human agency, we are talking about the manifestation of Him, Christ Jesus, the ascended Lord, through our vessel. This is not coming into harmony with the universal plan, as some would indicate. But rather a total removal of the Adamic man, dust to dust. This allows the ascendancy of God in us. We bear about in our bodies the dying of the Lord Jesus so that it might be life/light unto others (2 Corinthians 4:10).

Pagan eastern philosophy would suggest a union/merging of the present person (Adam) with the eternal unfolding plan. This would keep alive the old at the expense of the new. This would be a dog returning to its vomit. In a moment we shall discuss the difference between the LOGOS and rhema. The purpose of the rhema is to lead us out of darkness so that the LOGOS, which remains, might come forth. We wanted it to be clear that we are not talking about the Greek pagan concept of LOGOS, which seems, to some degree, to be evident in the body of Christ.

Now, the word LOGOS also carries with it a corporate sense of collection. It will collect together all things. This is expressed clearly by John in his gospel where he states that all things came out of the WORD. 1 Corinthians 15:28 Paul states that God will be all in all, which shows the consummate collection of all back to God. Thus, the fullness of LIGHT, the ministry of LIGHT is the collection of all parts that reveal the sum! If all colors of the rainbow are put together they reveal one color. A light refracted through a prism reveals multicolor; it has been divided. But the sum reveals the purity and fullness.

We have often heard it said: "Don't listen to what is being said, hear what is behind it." Or perhaps you have heard it said: "Read between the lines". Both of these statements relate to LOGOS. For the word implies that we grasp the principles from which it issues forth. Failure to understand or grasp the principles creates a false premise on which to build anything. The foundation would be unsure. Pagan Greek concept of LOGOS did such a thing because it looked and did not perceive (behold). Paganism looks from a humanistic, carnal approach instead of a godly approach.

All that was spoken into creation out of the LOGOS, out of the LIGHT, was to establish the LIGHT and thereby as a consequence remove darkness. There was no battle with darkness. Darkness is removed as a consequence of the revelation of light.

LOGOS to the saint also has a deeper meaning than rhema, which can also be translated in English as "word". Rhema can be dangerous. It is a little light, a glimpse of the total but by no means the fullness of light. Rhema comes out of LOGOS but is not LOGOS, even though it reveals some of the LOGOS. This means that rhema is a light in darkness but not the light. A good analogy would be that rhema is the sun, moon, stars of the light OF darkness (the night and the day). Whereas, the LOGOS is the LIGHT.

There is a story of the devil walking along with a friend and they see a person bend down and pick up a fallen branch of truth. The friend of the devil says to the devil, "Aren't you afraid of the person having truth?" The devil responds "As long as he thinks that part of truth is the whole truth, he is on my side." Darkness can have light in it. Darkness only allows partial light. It can only perceive a partial truth simply because it is darkness. Therefore, darkness cannot comprehend light at all, since partial truth is darkness. This is the realm of rhema. A Pentecostal "word" of prophecy, wisdom or knowledge is not only from the Holy Place a part realm, in comparison to the Holy of Holies which is a fullness realm, but such a word is a "part" revelation. It is not the whole and even though it has light in it, the light resides in the darkness of that realm. As Wakefield states in his journal of 1842 (courtesy of Mary Mc Clain) "...the watchman of the day is also the watchman of the night, and he can divide the darkness of the night (those that die unrepentant) from the light of the night". The light in the night is not the LIGHT. The light is that of doctrine, salvation or Pentecost. It is not the LIGHT of Tabernacles or the Holy of Holies.

The ministry of LIGHT resides in the fullness realm, the Holy of Holies, the ministry of Melchizedec. The ministry of Adam and Aaron is that of the Holy Place and the light thereof is the candlestick with seven lights and the two lights of the olive tree(Zech 4). Nine lights. Not a fullness.

Many times Jesus gave "words" to people. While they appeared to be prophetic (and were) they did not come out of the realm of the Holy Place but of the Holy of Holies. The fruit of either realm may appear similar, but the source is different. One comes out of life/light and the other comes out of death/lesser light.

Years ago as a counselor, I was conversing with a Methodist minister who also did counselling. He asked "What is truth?". His point of reference was that in counseling how do you determine what is correct in a situation with all the factors involved. I responded that it is not "WHAT" but "WHO" is truth. A "what" may be knowledge, a fact, but it is not Wisdom for Wisdom is a "WHO". He could not understand that Jesus Christ is the answer. As we grow in Christ we grow in truth. Truth is light unto our path. Truth is a person. Light is a person. HE WAS THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD. The Scriptures declare.

Light is a person. The fullness of light is Jesus Christ. The fullness of darkness is Adam. Light is spiritual, not natural nor carnal. Genesis 1:3 states "And God said let there be light" in the KJV. But in the Rotherham Bible it states: "LIGHT BE and light was". Light was spoken into existence out of nothing; whereas, darkness is the absence of something. When the adamic nature stops trying to be something and realizes it is nothing, then Light is.

"...that I may walk before God in the light of the living" (Ps.56:13). Light is life. Darkness is death. Darkness, death cannot comprehend light, life. The seeds cannot mix nor can there be fusion of the two. One is. the other is not.

We must understand that the presentation of the LOGOS is the ministry of LIGHT. Jesus was the complete embodiment of God in the flesh. There was no Adam in Him. He did NOT have any part of Mary. Gabriel came to Mary. Gabriel, as a friend of mine states(Stacy Wood), was an "ish" or a man, good research brings this out. This man, Gabriel (meaning valiant/ warrior man and the root means "strong") under divine unction spoke the word (LOGOS) out of his being. In fact, Gabriel is used the first time, I believe, in Exodus 10:11 where the word "men" is used in the phrase: "...go now ye men...". This shows that the word "Gabriel" is a man and not necessarily a wing flapper. The LOGOS united with the LOGOS that was already in Mary. John 3:6 states in the New English Bible:"...it is spirit that gives birth to spirit." This union of God with God produced the manifestation of Jesus. We have heard people state in meetings that something leaped in them. This is such a union. Once while traveling with another brother a lady stated (and she was not pregnant) that the word felt so strong coming forth that her womb leaped like when she carried a child. The union of the LOGOS with the LOGOS causes a birth to take place. Mary had no part in it. I like to say that Mary was a surrogate mother. It is important to understand that the LOGOS united with the LOGOS. The LOGOS did not unite with Adam, the dust, the earthly, the flesh.

But another way to express it would be that the incorruptible seed was 100% God. It was not 100% man and 100% God. It was all God or He could not be our mediator of a better covenant. The ministry of LIGHT has nothing to do with darkness - which has in it day and night. The Holy Place realm has light and darkness, showing that the darkness is divided into light (day) and darkness (night).

The LOGOS in you bears witness to the Father when the Father speaks to you. This is not a rhema, a part realm word of knowledge, but rather is the very unction of LIGHT and life moving in your being. Wakefield writes in his journals in 1842 the following (courtesy of Mary McClain) " I saw the whole creation before they were brought forth to bodies; I saw the two lights, being God's own body and that light the light of him, being the three persons in one head....". Here we see by his vision (and we are not creating doctrine over a vision) that God, as it were had a body of light and within that body a light which was the essence of Himself.

We are called to be the light of the world. We are to be bone of His bone and flesh of His flesh. We are to be His light body. The saints are called to be a heavenly creation of light. We are to manifest the very express image of Him. Jesus was light in the flesh. So are we to be in this life. Consider Genesis 1:27 where God states that He makes man in HIS IMAGE. It was a prophetic word to deliver man from the dust of the earth and create a heavenly man - 1 Corinthians 15:47-50, Revelation 14:3. Such a redemption could only come about if there was a Redeemer, one who was not on the same plane, but was better and able to establish a better covenant - Christ Jesus.

The process of making man in His Image is life long and the understanding and revelation of it to the individual comes slowly. God made man in His Image through the process of regeneration - John 3:5 states:"...unless a man is born from water and from spirit..." Phillips Translation. Verse six continues and as the New English Bible states:"... it is spirit that gives birth to spirit." The water some have taught is natural birth and the spirit is a spiritual birth. But close study shows that the water refers to the baptism of the Holy Spirit and that the Spirit used in verse 5 and 6 refers to the fullness. It is LOGOS that gives us LOGOS. A rhema cannot give us life. A rhema word is from a passing order and is not life sustaining! The LOGOS is age-abiding, life sustaining.

Colossians 1:15 states that Jesus was the "very incarnation of God"(20th Century NT) or as Phillips states: "the visible expression of God". Relate this verse with Colossians 3:10b as Weymouth says "which is being remolded into full knowledge so as to become like Him who created it." The LOGOS is a creative force, the very essence of God Himself establishing Himself within the vessel. He brings life out of death, light out of darkness, love out of hate. The finished product is the revelation of Him in the vessel.

God uses men. He does not use spirits! His Spirit impregnates people. But the heavenly people become His means of expression. Jesus came from heaven the scripture declares, it does not say He came from the earth. These heavenly people therefore are light bodies, life bodies who reveal the love of God. They manifest the very essence of Him to the others by showing that they are not of the world, but of heaven. The LOGOS establishes the heavens in a person. Then God can move through a person because the two have become one, in union, in marriage. Such is the marriage supper of the Lamb.

Thus, in Colossians 1:15 we have an image which corresponds to that of Romans 8:29 which states we are to be "conformed to His image". The word "conformed" used here is only used twice in the New Testament. The other location is Philippians 3:21. His glorious body that we are being conformed to is the LOGOS. It is able to express itself in any form - ie in Adam, or in Christ or in Spirit. For the LOGOS is not tied to the natural order but rather is a spiritual body.

Before the creation was, John 1:1-3, the LOGOS was. During this time of creation the LOGOS is manifested as the man Jesus. The LOGOS is being manifested in the sons of God. Consider Hebrews 10:1 which states "For the law having a shadow of good things to come, and NOT THE IMAGE of the things....". This reveals that the law did not have life. It was of the lower order. But "the image of things" is Christ Jesus. We are His expression in this world. Hebrews 1:3 states that Jesus was the EXPRESS IMAGE of the Father. The Greek is the English word from which we receive the word "character". Jesus was the revelation of the character, the nature of God - loving peace, eschewing evil, etc.

We are to come into that same express image. The LOGOS has nothing to do with SKIN!!!! The LOGOS has to do with the nature of the person. Jesus was the manifestation of God in the earth because He was of the character of God. The Greek word even goes into deeper depth of pregnant thought with the concept that uses the word "grapho". This means a hand written copy, or in other words, directly from the source of inspiration. As an example a letter written by you to another is a "handwritten copy", an original.

"Arise, shine for your light has come! And the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee. For behold the darkness shall cover the earth, and deep darkness the people; but the Lord will arise over you, and His glory will be seen upon you."(Isaiah 60:1-2). The LOGOS is the light of life. People were attracted to Jesus not because of some halo or aurora, but because the light of the life of God was in Him. The LOGOS attracts because it emits life giving rays to all that encounter it. People were able to recognize Him because of His nature. The same is true upon those who have "arisen" and sat down in heavenly places with Him. For if we arise in Christ, we dwell, live, have our being in the resurrection. The resurrection is life and has no part of death.

Come let us walk together unto the Mount of the Lord. Let the saviors arise and bring deliverance (Obadiah 21). It is He, the LOGOS, who has moved in our being and united with Himself. It is His creation, the new creation man, that is coming forth, being birthed out of the woman.

The woman nature, that adamic flesh, that carnal desire, has no part of that which is coming forth out of the desert of the flesh. For this is the beloved in union with His bride being manifest in the land. The new creation man is arising, proclaiming: "Come ye to the waters and drink you who are thirsty, you who have no money, come buy wine and milk." For those who are in union with Him, manifest the LOGOS completely, giving wine and milk. Wine is life (masculine) and milk is life (feminine). They are the beloved's and He is theirs, unity of the same nature, nothing of Adam.

When this union occurs, then life is produced on any plane - the plane of the babe's milk, or the plane of the mature wine.

Part 2

In the Scriptures we find that there were three kinds of ministry: the prophets, Jesus and the New Testament church. In the Old Testament God worked through many men. Some he used even though they were rebellious against Him (Balaam). Others were open to allow Him to minister through them, but did not comprehend the depth of what they spoke (Isaiah, Ezekiel etc.). These were men of faith, as Hebrews 11 states.

The difference between the Old Testament prophet and Jesus is that the prophet was revelatory and Jesus was revelation personified. The times changed with Jesus. Instead of God using men, obedient or disobedient, God now became manifest in the flesh. In the incarnation of Jesus we see the Logos of God manifested. We see God made visible in a person; whereas, in the Old Testament the person administered God without necessarily being fully possessed of God. Jesus was God. 100% God. No Adam nature involved at all. In the Old Testament it was 100% man overpowered by God.

In the New Testament, after Jesus, we find it is now possible for the saints to be 100% God and 100% man. Not the Adamic man, but the new creation man revealing a union with God. Jesus was God flesh. He did not have the same flesh as we. Read Romans 8:3 and Philippians 2:7, preferably in various translations other than the KJV. We manifest God in the new creation flesh, which has nothing to do with literal flesh but rather is a spiritual house.

God is not seeking to destroy the personality of the individual, which is good and God created, but He is infusing Himself in the personality, a union of your Logos with His Logos to express a divine image, an incorruptible image, fashioned, conformed to the Image of His Son. The quest of the New Testament saint is to reveal the Logos in the flesh of the new creation man, which is different than the ministry of the prophets or the ministry of Jesus.

Jesus never had an adamic nature in Him. He overcame the adamic temptations for us because He was God. Tried, He did not fail but rose above the lower fallen level of Adam. He, the Logos, places Himself in us through a salvation experience to enable a union (He male, we female) of His Logos with the breath of life in us to create a new creation man. This God/man union is to empower us.

The New Testament saint is to be the revelation of the Word, as we accept trials and overcome temptations. In Jesus the word became flesh. The Logos existed first and then was encompassed about by the flesh. The New Testament saint must have the flesh transformed to fit around the Logos! Therein is the difference.

Men did not accept Jesus because He was God. The world will accept you, and thereby Jesus as Saviour, because they will see transformed flesh and a transformed nature. The testimony of the New Testament saint is the revelation of the transformation, the metamorphisis. The Logos of God is seeking to unite with man's word. What a thought!

The presence of human (human in contrast to adamic nature) feeling does not ruin God's Word, but it can if the vessel is not adequately dead to Adam. The Logos of God is to be released through men, but the man must be transformed, his flesh changed to reveal the very nature of God. This transformation takes trials and discipline. If one cannot accept the pruning of His tree, then the Logos is impeded and cannot be expressed clearly through the vessel. BUT if the man has been pruned and if the man has become disciplined in the Lord, then God will allow man to be unified with His Logos in expression. Any defect in us will defile the Logos. Thus, continuous pruning is a pattern of success, which leads to the full revelation of God in us - Emmanuel!

The Logos unites with man's (new creation man) word to express in the flesh the manifestation of God. The world can accept an ethereal god, a non-involved god, and the world accepts the concept that they are gods, captains of their own lives. But they cannot accept that God incarnates man because this would disprove their two beliefs that are central to their lifestyle. If God can be involved intimately with His creation, then their premise of God is wrong. If God can incarnate a man and transform him into God's likeness, then man is not god, he is dethroned - thus ruining their lifestyle. The New Testament Logos man antagonizes the adamic nature, the unregenerate man.

The Bible is the story of the growth of God in men. First God made men. Then He spoke through them, with or without their knowledge. Then God became man in Jesus. Now, God is beginning the depth and height of His manifestation through the new creation man. This new creation man is the ultimate manifestation of God in the flesh - a greater work than Jesus, even as Jesus stated.

When we see Jesus we see holiness in the flesh. When we see Jesus we see patience in the flesh. When we see Jesus we see love in the flesh. God was manifested in the flesh. The new creation man manifests the same.

We cannot grasp the holiness of the Spirit - it is too large a thought for a finite creation. But we can understand holiness if we find God incarnated in the flesh. The Logos becoming flesh is the crowning principle of the Scriptures. It is fundamental to the very faith that we have.

Yet, Christians the world over have failed to penetrate the realm of life in Christ Jesus (the Logos). Many will admit Jesus came in the flesh and testify of His coming in them. But the principle that the new creation man is a union of God and man - the depth of the statement - is not grasped; it is not life unto the normal Christian.

The Logos enters the person and will fill the person. The Logos expresses itself in the person in many forms - trials, tribulations, or meditation. The working of the Logos in us becomes the outworking of Christ. The Logos works into our fiber, into our being. Can you imagine that the Logos is working the trials in us? The very trials of our flesh bring the manifestation of God in us and even the trial itself is a manifestation of the Logos!

The world sees the trials we undergo. They watch and keep silent. When they see the results of how the situation is dealt with, they know that God was manifested. What do they say? "I couldn't have done that" or they say "I can't believe you....". They see God working, and know it is not you.

Now many think that you must be a good speaker to be a minister of the Gospel, the Logos. In the Pentecostal realm, that would be a true statement. In the realm of Tabernacles, or ingathering it is not a true statement. The only requirement in this realm for the expression of the Logos is that Adam is dead. There is no expression of the tree of knowledge of good and evil, only the tree of Life. The Logos must be expressed with the vessel, but it is the new creation man, not the adamic man. The very concept that God integrates Himself into your life is totally foreign to the pagan as well as many carnal religious minds.

The Logos needs to enter into us - spirit, soul and body. There the Logos works the three parts into One so that the person appears, even as the three are one - and our God is one God. The person becomes the whole express image of God in the flesh, even as their elder brother, Jesus, was. Not only is there a unity of purpose between the vessel, the new creation man and God but there is also a unity of manifestation.

Jesus was persecuted because He stated that God was His Father. He challenged the religious carnal mind. Those who are being conformed to the image of His Son are undergoing such a great change at this time that they are beginning to identify with the Father. The church system attacked Christ because of this. The Centurion at the cross, a type of pagans or non-believers, recognized Jesus was God. It is only as we identify with the crucifixion of Christ, the death of Adam (Genesis3:19), that we can be seen as the Lord (2 Corinthians 4:11). Having God as our Father precludes we are sons, which the religious system says is not possible until we "reach heaven". The church system always externalizes.

Many times in the Bible Paul states an "opinion" (1 Corinthians 7:6, 12) but it is included in the divine inspired Scriptures because it too is inspired. This shows that the word of the Logos in us, via the Holy Spirit, can so change us that even our vessel's "uninspired" thoughts are inspired. The union of the vessel, that human creation, that new creation man, with the Logos is used of God. This also proves the incarnation of God in Paul. These inspired opinions of Paul show the union of the Spirit, mind and body with the Logos of God. Are your opinions God’s words? Think on that.

Not every human element can be used by the Logos. An uncrucified vessel produces brackish water, water that is supposed to produce life, produces death - in other words produces Adam instead of Christ. The more a person is broken, the greater the revelation of the incarnate God in the person. We would see Jesus! The less the person has learned or grown in Christ, the more the corrupt release of the Logos through him or her.

Generally, those who receive revelation do so because they have placed themselves in obedience to God bringing into subjection their wills, emotions and spirits. Where God is in control in the person, God incarnates, that is, He reveals Himself through their flesh. In the New Testament, we find that God gives the Logos to man so that man can express God through man's own redeemed personality. In sundry times God moved on men in the Old Testament, but in the New Testament God moves through obedient men continuously.

Consider the parable of the sower (Matthew 13 :3f, Mark 4:14f, Luke 8:4f). In particular look at what the seed is - Mark 4:14. The seed sown is the "word". This particular word "word" in the Greek is LOGOS. Ah, what a new thought! The seed is the Logos that is sown in the earth. Who is the earth? Note that the earth is a who not a what. Woe to them who dwell in the earth (Rev.12:12)! The earth is Adam. But those who dwell in the heavens (Rev.12:12) receive the Logos. If the ground is fertile - plowed, fertilized, moist, clean of weeds, it receives the seed and produces.

Mary was fertile in that she had a pure heart, sought after God, and pondered in her heart the words (Logos) spoken to her by Gabriel. Her earth was crucified in that, as Jeremiah states it was "rooted out, pulled down, destroyed, thrown down, in order to build and to plant" (1:10). To be set over kingdoms, the adamic kingdom has to be destroyed. The Logos is planted in the earth, Adam. Adam is the fertilizer, if Adam is dead. The Logos brings forth out of its own kind. For the word "seed" in the Greek is "sperma" from which the English is derived - sperm.

It takes a union of the Logos spoken from the vessel of God (Gabriel meaning a valiant man) to unite with the Logos in Mary, a woman, the female etc. The two produce the new creation man. But if the womb is closed, that is, if the flesh of the adamic is not plowed, it will not permit the entrance of the Logos for union.

2 Corinthians 5:19 states: "To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto Himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word (Logos) of reconciliation." Many of the present day saints understand that all mankind is going to be saved, not just some. We have written on that before. But most understand it as a doctrine and not an experience. There is a difference.

Jesus Christ, the Son of God, the divine expression, the Logos, was the embodiment of reconciliation. He was so unified with the purpose of God and the goals of God that He oozed reconciliation. He did not impute sin - that is not saying He did not identify it, for He did. He called sin sin but He did not hold sin against a person. Some in the end-time move do not even call sin, sin because their understanding is not consistent with the righteousness of God.

Nevertheless, the point is that Jesus was the manifestation of the Logos and Paul states that we are to be the very same Logos. We are to have a ministry of reconciliation that is consistent with the revelation incarnation. Our flesh, our bodies as well as our minds and spirits are to be attuned to restoration at all times. The Logos is a word of reconciliation. The Logos redeems mankind from the adamic nature and places them into the Christ nature. This is accomplished by reconciling the people to a relationship with Christ. Such a reconciliation causes a separation from the old ways, a death to the old ways and a new life in Christ.

The ministry of reconciliation is not a doctrine but a lifestyle revelation of Christ Jesus, the Logos, in you.
