He maketh the first old, That He might establish the new. We would to the first hold, 'Til we know what He will do.

We ought not ever to place Our hopes on a transient hour; Nor mind the man-made vase Which carries the fading flower.
For the God of the first and the last, Is God also of all in-between; Whose fading work of the past Tells invisible things yet unseen.
