Christ Is ALL - Chapter 6

Christ Is All

"There is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcised nor uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave nor free, but CHRIST IS ALL and in all." Colossians 3:11, NKJV.

Our belief in, and the acceptance of, Adamic sin-consciousness as Truth in our lives is the double-mindedness of James 1:8; and it causes all of our instability, frustration, and lack; and its effect is the discords that we experience in our everyday lives. What is true of Christ is true of us, we just don't believe it. We must ascend into the realization, conscious awareness, of Christ as the Truth of our Being, the very I that I am. We must turn our gaze away from what we appear to be in Adam--a natural man of the earth--and see into the reality of the Spirit; for it is there that we will find our true identity. "Set your mind on things above (spiritual truth), not on things on the earth (natural conditions)." -Col. 3:2.

What does it mean to set our mind on things above, not on things of the earth? To set one's mind on things above is to fix one's thoughts on what is true in the Spirit, not on what you can see in your natural experience. Every day the earth-consciousness, the natural realm of flesh, presents us with a picture of what is in the natural; that is, a carnal representation of some thing that the carnal mind of man wants us to accept as truth in our lives. But the things of this earth--as real as they look, as real as they feel, and as real as they seem--are not Reality, not Truth as it is in Spirit. As in heaven, Spirit, so in earth, human experience. Reality is what is true in Spirit, that is the realm of Truth, and that is to be the truth in our experience. To set our minds, our thoughts, our judgment, on what we see in our natural earthen experience and then except it as the absolute truth in our lives is to live under the dominion of the carnal mind, and that is death. To set our minds on what is true in the Spirit is to be spiritually minded--see Spirit Truth as Reality-- and that is life. We have to see through the appearances of good and evil and see the truth of LIFE. This LIFE is the tree we must feed on.

In the spiritual world LIFE COMES FROM DEATH. So, then, the tree of life must be a tree of death. You must die to self (your selfhood apart from God) to live to Christ (your ONEness with God) and this is what the cross is all about. The cross is the instrument of death to the personal-self, but it is life to the Christ-Self. To really understand the cross you will have to see the death of who you believed yourself to be as a natural man of the earth; and then see who it is that you really are as a Spiritual Man in Christ. The cross is death to sin-consciousness and opens the way for Christ-consciousness through resurrection and ascension. We then can find that we are seated with Him in the Reality of Spirit. Established in Truth we will live a seated life.

A mind that is set on the truth of Spirit will build within you a Christ-consciousness, to have our mind set on the natural earth-man is to have an Adamic sin-consciousness. Christ-consciousness will lift our inner man up into the reality of spiritual truth, while sin-consciousness will leave us under the deception of good and evil.

Our daily experience depends on rather we are living out of our Christ-consciousness, or the mesmerism of Adamic sin-consciousness. Christ-consciousness will lift our Soul up from the material sense of existence into Spiritual Reality, while Adamic sin-consciousness will keep us bogged down in the ways and means of natural man, "whose breath is in his nostrils."

The goal of our spiritual life is the resurrection of our soul and body from the sepulchre of our Adamic carnal nature, more specifically--the carnal mind--into the reality of our spiritual existence--the New Creation Life we have in Christ. The human experience of the natural earth-man is a life of imprisonment to what is true of you as a Spirit-man. The human experience has formed a consciousness that is much, much, less than that of Spirit: Mortal man has fallen into a low state of consciousness--sin-consciousness. "Cease ye from man, whose breath is in his nostrils; for wherein is he to be accounted of?" Isaiah 2:22. The natural man has lost his position with God and is not to be considered any longer. He is not to be considered as the Reality and Essence of who you are created to be. Your natural human experience is not to be accounted as to what is really true of you as a spiritual creation of God. When this understanding dawns in consciousness, in that "moment" we will be changed. We will manifest all that God has created us to be in His Son Christ Jesus.

The most important factor is Christ-consciousness, or God awareness. "But seek the kingdom of God (the realm of Truth, or Reality), and all these things (needs of life) shall be added to you." -Lu. 12:31. In seeking the realization of God's kingdom, all things are added. We must break the patterns of seeking things, persons, or the praise of men; and we must turn our face like a flint toward seeking the kingdom of God within. Then we will experience the joy of feeling the presence and power of God within the very Center of our being. Then we will truly see that Christ is ALL to us all.

"To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne." -Rev. 3:21. We must overcome the material sense, and beliefs, of "this world" and enter into the reality of "My kingdom." A Christ-conscious man lives and moves and has his being in a totally different realm of existence. Jesus speaks of this when He reply's to Pilate: "My kingdom is not of this world." -Jn. 18:36. Christ Jesus lived His life out of the Kingdom within Him, within His consciousness, not out of the system of "this world". We are not to be conformed to "this world", its way of thinking, nor of doing. We are to be "caught up" into Christ-consciousness, which is God-awareness--the Reality of Spirit--and then we will forever be with Him in the truth of ONEness. He that is joined to the Lord is One Spirit, one spiritual consciousness. If we live and move and have our being in human-consciousness, and Spiritual-consciousness is on a different level, then that is twoness, double-mindedness, being double-souled. At this point we are driven and tossed like a wave of the sea. In this condition we will never walk out who it is that we were created to be. The goal, according to Christ Jesus, is for us to be One with the Father, and to have a face to face relationship in Spirit and in Truth. "...that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us...And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one: "I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one" -Jn. 17:21-23.

The goal of our spiritual life in Christ is ONEness with God through an understanding of the work of Jesus Christ. "For you died and your life is hidden with Christ in God." The whole program of the Christian life is restoration through redemption: Restored back to Fathers house where we find our union with God. This union is not God and me, for I have died and there now is a new I in me. This new I is Christ and He has made me One with God. "I and the Father are one" is Christ-consciousness. It is the understanding and enlightenment of what God has made us to be in the Person of His Son. What is true of Christ is true of me, and it is true of you too. Without an inner awareness of this Truth we will never see the fruit or demonstration
of it.

PERFECT IN ONE

"'I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one...' " John 17:23, NKJV.

"The Lord will perfect that which concerneth me" -Ps. 138:8. God, through His Love, Grace, and Mercy, has made me perfect. He did this by removing everything that was wrong with me. The death of Christ Jesus was the removing of the old nature, of everything that was missing the mark, and then the bringing forth of a New Creation in the resurrection. When Christ Jesus came up out of the grave He was the New Creation, and everything that was true of Him that glorious morning is true of us today. Of coarse it takes belief, faith, trust, confidence, and an inner awareness to make this a reality in your experience, but it is true of you nevertheless.

He that is joined to the Lord is One Spirit. There is just One Spirit. It is not your spirit and God's Spirit that are joined or yoked together, it is just One Spirit. You don't have a separate spirit apart from God, your spirit is His Spirit and that Spirit is One. The Spirit of Christ dwells in you and that Spirit is the Spirit that makes you One with God. Christ in you is the very Reality of your being. He is the new I in you. He has become your new Self, for your old self was crucified with Christ and it is no longer you who live, it is now Christ in you as the Reality of your being. It is not Christ and you, but Christ in you, that is the hope of glory.

To live to the old self is to believe in a selfhood apart from God, and that is double-mindedness, double-souled--twoness. That is Adamic sin-consciousness, or carnal mindedness, living a separate life apart from God. The prayer of Christ Jesus before His death was "that they all may be one...one in US," One in Christ in the Father. My life is hid with Christ in God, and in that union we are One. The Father and I are one, and the reason that is true is because the I of me is Christ. There is not a separate me apart from God anymore, we are now One in Christ.

It is imperative that you--your human self doesn't think that he is one with God, or that he is God; or has any of the attributes of God. "The natural man receives NOT the things of the Spirit of God." Do not allow your old man to sit on the throne. You of your own self can do nothing, because you are nothing...a blade of grass that withers in the sun and dies. It is only the Christ in you that is anything, and that Christ in you is everything. CHRIST IS ALL!

"Man, whose breath is in his nostrils" is nothing, and he will never be anything. It is only Christ in you, coming forth as you, that will ever be anything. "He performeth the thing that is appointed for me" -Job 23:14. It is the Christ in you that is to shine forth as the Light of the world, and be the Salt of the earth. I of mine own self can do nothing, it is the Christ that is in the Father that is in me that does the work. But without a conscious realization of this Truth we can never reap the benefits of it.

"Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth." Psalms 46:10, ASV.

What we must learn to do now is to be still and know that He is God in the midst of us and that He is mighty. He will be exalted in your earth as you learn to be still and let God arise. As the truth of Christ arises in your consciousness He is exalted among your imaginations, and that Truth will be expressed in your outer experiences. "Let God arise, let His enemies be scattered; also let those who hate Him flee before Him."-Ps. 68:1. All that is not Christ will flee as we arise in a Christ-consciousness: As the Truth of Spirit becomes the Reality in your consciousness the enemies of God are scattered. The last enemy to be destroyed is death itself. Death was the last enemy to be destroyed in the resurrection of Christ Jesus, and it is to be destroyed in us as we arise into the truth of Spirit. We are Spirit and we must live in the Truth of Spirit.

We can only come into this realization by being still and listening to the voice of the Spirit speak these truths within us. Intellectual knowledge is not enough, although it is a beginning. Jesus taught us to seek first the kingdom, and that kingdom of God is within us; and within us is exactly where we are to seek. We have spent to much time seeking things without us. We have sought for all kinds of spiritual truths in the without, for the outer-man, when the whole teaching of Jesus was to seek within and then let the outer experience befall to that within ness.

For this to become reality in our lives we must be willing to spend the time necessary in an intimate meditative relationship with God out of the very Center of our being. A realization of ONEness is only to be found by those who are willing to change, and willing to do whatever it takes to enter into His rest; although, "the works were finished from the foundation of the world." It is only by Grace that we will, and can, enter into this finished work.

We are a work in progress, called forth by God, created in Christ, manifested in Spirit, experienced by us. Christ is All and in all. If then Christ is All and in all, He must therefore constitute the Reality of all that is. This being true, and it is, what must change then is our perception of all that we see. We must see through the mesmerism of this universal carnal mind--the prince of the power of the air that is constantly bombarding us with its lies--and live out of the Reality of the kingdom that is within us. This can only be done through a conscious awareness of what is true of spirit, soul, and body, in the Christ that is All in us all. The Reality is Christ! We must learn to let Christ live through us who He is in us.
