Divine Consciousness

A Sentient BEing once declared:

"We've heard much about Cosmic Consciousness. "Cosmic Consciousness is as far superior to ordinary Consciousness as the latter is superior to the Blind Instinct of the lower animals."

He who proffers such postulate as his major premise, reveals thereby his ignorance of Cosmic Consciousness and Blind Instinct. We'll notice both terms and try and show they refer to the same element of principle.

Man is said to be what his Consciousness is. Whence its source? What's its nature? For these burning question even great physical science has no answers.

The more knowledge we gain in every respect the more we learn how little we know. There's a 'ring-pass-not' that halts us regardless of the direction we take.

It's impossible for us to know the finality of even the simplest apparently ultimate nature of Consciousness lies beyond our reach.

But he cannot progress who rejects data because they lie over the limit of his belief, opinion and understanding. Yet that's the common custom that holds man in darkness.

Even scientists, when faced with unusual claims, like the blood of the body being composed of condensed air like the water of the sea, back again, attack him who makes such claims, and deny the evidence of their own findings to hide their ignorance. They are as unwilling today to investigate new claims as they were in the Middle Ages.

The status of the realm of mankind grows more comprehensible as we realize that common human Consciousness is but one state thereof, and that higher and lower states exist.

In itself, a state of Consciousness is neither high nor low. It becomes subject to classification only in comparison with other states. What is high in one respect may be low in another?

Some examples will serve to indicate various states of Consciousness. Rudolph Stainer presented a case in his book Cosmic Memory, citing bees and ants and their work. But he was unable to describe definitely in words what he had in mind.

Stainer showed that the collaboration of various classes of insects--males, females, and workers--proceeds in a systematic fashion, ruled by a State of Consciousness that knows the end from the beginning, yet regarded so lightly by physical science that it's considered as Blind Instinct.

The definite distribution of various tasks among the several categories of insects, and their ability and intelligence to perform them according to the laws of Creation, can be considered only as an expression of that supreme state termed Cosmic Consciousness, called Blind Instinct by physical science.

What occurs in the word of bees and ants is as much the result of a particular state of Consciousness as is the work of man in the physical world.

Man's systems of commercialism, industrialism, art and science are the results of his consciousness, and indicate the state thereof. If his Consciousness functioned on a higher plane, his artificial world, created by his money-madness and burdened with sick, suffering, degenerate people, would change to a more natural and far better condition.

The state of Consciousness at the base of the beehive and anthill. A mystery to physical science and stupidly called Blind Instinct, is not the same as that which guides man's work in the physical world.

The former is the superior, unconditioned state which flows unmodified from the ultimate source--from God the theologian would say, who had rather walk in darkness than risk the result of an investigation of his God, and who declares with definite firmness that only his God could grow a tree.

Sir Isaac Newton, profoundly religious, tried to locate that God, and was surprised to find an automatic Universe, in which sunshine, soil, water and air produce entire vegetal kingdom.

There are four sacred elements of the ancient Magi and they have a marvelous history. Cited in the Bible by mysterious letters J. H. V. H, mentioned in the New Testament as "The Word made flesh" (Exodus 6:3; John 1:14) and are that highly mysterious Lost Word.

Newton discovered that the principles of Polarity, Electromagnetism, Heat and Cold, Expansion and Contraction, acting on atoms, caused them to perform and produce infinite formulations, according to archetypal patterns that have had no beginning.

And the same orderly work of bees and ants will prevail ten thousand years hence, just as at present. No bewhiskered Prophet is required to predict that condition.

The future hides no mysteries when the laws of Creation are observed. In fact, the future, under those laws, is NOW. Time is another illusion.

The circle, not a straight line is the symbol of Eternity. everything is eternal. Everything is now what has been or will be. The Bible teaches that:

"The thing that hath been, is that which shall be (again), and that which is done (now) is that which shall (always) be done: and there's no new thing under the sun" (Eccl. 1:9)

Man represents a higher development than bees and ants, and naturally exercises a prerogative not possessed by insects. This superior endowment is for his benefit, but he employs it for his detriment. If properly used, it would enable man to express powers of a so-called superhuman nature. He would be a God, his world would be a paradise, and physicians, hospitals, and insane would vanish.

To determine the power that rules the animal kingdom, one cannot confuse oneself to the physical world, where insects inhabit physical bodies. The power and its source must be sought in a higher realm.

This means we must reject the opinion of physical science, that "the world is composed of blind and unknown forces."

This means that we must ascend to the state called Blind Instinct by physical science, which rules the fish and the sea, the fowl of the air, the beast of the field, and everything that creepeth upon the earth.

We must not be misled by the Consciousness exhibited by mans work. For that state is conditioned and distorted by his prerogative. But the state called Blind Instinct by physical science which rules bees and ants, is not conditioned nor modified and must be determined and sought in the Supersensible World.

If man ascended to that world he'd greet the "bee and ant spirit" in full Consciousness as his own, unconditioned by his prerogative. The Seer and Clairvoyant can actually do that. This was one of the secrets taught in the ancient Mysteries five thousand years ago, and carefully concealed from the esoteric and profane.

In the orderly work of bees and ants, we witness the conduct of entities that are conscious in a higher world, directed by a state of Consciousness that extends into the physical world thru their bodies. That's the primigenious, unconditioned state of Cosmic Consciousness, called Blind Instinct by physical science.

An ancient tradition indicates that in the early days of man's development, a state of Consciousness, similar to that of bees and ants, existed generally in the case of humanity and man lived in a paradise. But that was lost because man's evil work that produced a state of physical and mental degeneration which has never been suffered by bees and ants, bugs and birds.

The Bible mentions that distant day when man was sinking in the quagmire of degeneration. "And God saw that he wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually." Gen. 6:5

That sounds serious, but it could not have been worse than it is today. Let us hope man had hit the bottom, and that in the future he will rise far above his present low level, recover and resurrect his lost powers, be free of sickness in a glorious age not burdened by doctors, hospitals, and insane asylums, and again be blessed with the superior state of Consciousness that rules the animal kingdom, and is now occasionally displayed by Seers and Clairvoyants."

So ended the voice of the Sentient Being
