Ego Thinking

We, ALL, have our opinions, beliefs, revelations and perspectives, which we believe God has given us, and we all wish to share those insights with others, hoping and perhaps praying, others will enjoy our articles and receive the same understanding we have been given. Sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't. What is intriguing, is when it doesn't!

When it doesn't, we tend to attack that which we believe to be false, according to our present understanding. Our responses are not in questions for clarity of understanding, but with names, labeling, vilification, and character assassinations, none of which deals with the message itself, but with the messenger (label someone anti-semitic and see if any one listens to the message, even if true). In doing so, we demean the individuals personally held truths, which he believes he has received from God. And we probably ALL have been guilty of such a thing at some time or another, during our walk with God. I know I have.

Why do we do this? EGO. Ego is your mind telling you that you are something you are not. Ego wants others to recognize ME and what I believe. Ego wants the limelight and doesn't like to share it with another's Ego, for each thinks it has the only truth, and ITS truth is superior to another's. So it needs to constantly defend its-SELF and ITS positions, come hell or high water - usually using both to torch or drown another's Ego thinking.

Where does this EGO come from? It comes from the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. One declaring one's Ego to be Good, while trying to kill an others Evil Ego. And because each sees it-SELF to be the Good Ego, then each declares its position to be the truth of a matter, not realizing that both are fed from the same tree. It cannot realize, for thought is not real. It just thinks it is.

Why does this happen? Fear. It is fear in ones Ego, that does not want change of its beliefs, doctrines, understanding and positions. For they are its life and the thinking mind does not want to relinquish any part of it-SELF. Ones Ego has had control for so long, that any thought coming into its mind, that might disturb the fragile stability it holds, brings out the defenses Ego has in its arsenal. And Ego will use ALL it can to defeat any perceived enemy, it sees trying to subvert its power over the entity it inhabits.

So Ego's best defense is its good offense. And offend it does, in its defense of it-SELF. Your Ego/mind, is always conjuring up ways to defend its position, by thinking it is that which it is not, but wants to BE. It wants to BE truth, love, kind, etc, but can never BE, for those qualities are not in the mind, but in Spirit. So it places a shield over the real you. It is in the RE-newing of the mind, by the Spirit, that changes this position. When you Re-move thinking and live in BE-ing, you RE-move the Ego. For Ego has only time as its friend, and BE-ing dwells in no time, but in NOW. Give Ego time to think, and you feed good and evil.

When you read articles, ask yourself, do they bring Life to me. Do they in crease the Life I NOW have to a greater level, like Jesus promised. A more abundant Life. Or, do the messages bring knowledge from the Tree of Good and Evil. If Life, grab on to it and give it to others. If knowledge, it will puff up and bring good and evil upon the receiver. Both of which will cause Ego to respond from its defenses. Knowledge does not bring KNOWING. To KNOW is to BE who you are. To know is to think you are and to it, Jesus said, "depart from me I do not KNOW you." Jesus does not KNOW the Ego, only the BE-ing, for He is the Supreme BE-ing.

So let us not rail against an other. Let us not denigrate, vilify and cast stones at one another as our Ego would like to do. He will take every opportunity to declare another wrong, but the second he does, he declares him-SELF on his own scale. A scale which, as most scales do, changes with the amount of WAIT placed upon it. Wait a while and perhaps the scales of your perception will shift as the balance of understanding changes. Share the LIFE you ARE, and Life is what will BE produced. Defend your perceptions and you receive its deceptions, for what you perceive, you Re-ceive.

Ego thinks it knows. BE-ing KNOWS...Ya KNOW.
