Judgment

I have been pondering, for quite some time, about this idea of judging and judgment. A little while ago, it was made clear to me what John the Baptist really meant when he said: Behold the Lamb of God that taketh away the sin of the world.

Many believe that judgment must take place in all of us and that we must judge others accordingly. Most say they do not judge, but only after the Spirit and thus their judgment is righteous. But is it?

There are many Scriptures that speak about judging and judgment and most can quote many of them to show that we have the right to judge others, so I need not quote them here. But I do wish to show the other side and hope that we can come to another understanding of judgment.

The word judge, in Scripture means as follows:

Strong's Numbering…2923…Judge…krino means: 1) to separate, put asunder, to pick out, select, choose ; to approve, esteem, to prefer; to be of opinion, deem, think, to be of opinion ; to determine, resolve, decree

2) to judge (a) to pronounce an opinion concerning right and wrong ;to be judged, i.e. summoned to trial that one's case may be examined and judgment passed upon it (b) to pronounce judgment, to subject to censure ; of those who act the part of judges or arbiters in matters of common life, or pass judgment on the deeds and words of others

(3)to rule, govern (a)to preside over with the power of giving judicial decisions, because it was the prerogative of kings and rulers to pass judgment ;(b) to contend together, of warriors and combatants

When Jesus came into this world, He came for a purpose and that purpose was not to condemn the world, John 3:17… but that the world through him might be saved. John 12:47 And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world.

Now we know that is why He came. The question is, did He save the world and when did He do this. The answer is yes He did and it was at the cross. He shed His blood, for All mankind, at the Cross and it is there and there only that the judgment was delivered and completed. Jesus said: John 12:31 Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out. The judgment of the world was then, in that "NOW", in the time of Jesus, for it was only He who could bring judgment to its fulfillment. And He completed it at the Cross. "It is finished".

Jesus paid the ransom, in full and removed ALL sin from the record of ALL. He judged sin once and for ALL and pronounced ALL innocent. Even more than that. The declaration was: 2Co 5:19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, NOT imputing their trespasses unto them… There was no imputing of sin to man's account. The word impute means:

Impute… Strong's Number: 3049

Definition---Logizomai :to reckon, count, compute, calculate, count over (a) to take into account, to make an account of

(1) metaph. to pass to one's account, to impute

(2) a thing is reckoned as or to be something, i.e. as availing for or equivalent to something, as having the like force and weight. This word deals with reality. If I "logizomai" or reckon that my bank book has $25 in it, it has $25 in it. Otherwise I am deceiving myself. This word refers to facts not suppositions

The fact is that Jesus did NOT lay to man's account their trespasses. Why do we?

Because we still look at man as in the flesh and not after the Spirit. We see what we want to see through our carnal mindset and not in the spiritual renewed mind of a new creation and we still judge others by what we see and hear after the flesh. Yet Jesus said that ALL trespasses were paid for and null and void. Eph 2:1 And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins; Col 2:13 And you, being dead in your sins and the un- circumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses. We were forgiven and quickened 2000 years ago, yet we still judge today what the Lord forgave centuries ago. And we call this righteous judgment! Really!

So why do we do it? Because: John 3:19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light,… And Ac 13:46 …but seeing ye put it from you, and judge yourselves unworthy of everlasting life, …" Man still looks through his carnal mind and still see darkness and sin and judgment and judges HIMSELF unworthy. But those that are regenerated, and have been given the understanding of salvation and the Spirit of God should be able to see in the Light and not from darkness. The sight should be that of not imputing any sin to anyone. But judgment by the Spiritual is still there and yet Jesus said: Mt 7:1 Judge not, that ye be not judged For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again. Why did He say that? Because the judgment is from the flesh realm and it is that realm that man judges from and not from the Spirit. John 8:15 Ye judge after the flesh; I judge no man, said Jesus.

Jesus brought All judgment to the Cross and nailed it there, once and for all. We would do well to do the same.

Many believe that judging is always to a negative end, but it is not. If you stand before a judge, he has the right, power and authority to sentence you to whatever penalty you deserve for the crime you have committed. Most often, the judge finds one guilty and the penalty is a fine, jail, or worse. BUT every once in a while, the judge says, not guilty and you are free to go. Yet even in this case, the charges are still on the record book and on record for future consideration in possible future crimes. But when Jesus went to the Cross, He not only took all judgment away from you, but there is no record to be found in any book, for no imputation was laid to your account. We were not even charged, so how can there be any judgment, yet alone a conviction.

We are to look at no man after the flesh, but after the Spirit. We are to see ALL sin paid for and judgment laid on the Cross. If we still see sin in our eyes, then our eyes are not seeing as God sees us, for He sees us as perfect through the Blood of the Lamb. When Jesus shed His perfect Life blood, it ALL fell to the ground. He was emptied of the Life Blood for ALL mankind. And as it fell to the ground, it covered the earth that you are formed from. The fullness of his Life covered completely the dust of the formation of you and not only you, but the whole cosmos. When God looks out over creation, He sees the Blood over it. And BE-cause He sees the Blood, nothing, Nothing, NO-THING is imputed to your account or to the account of any man.

The hell, earth, grave clothes that covers you is covered by the Blood of LIFE and ALL God sees is LIFE and LIFE more abundantly. The next time you go to a discussion board and click on some message, clothes your eyes, and, if you can see anything BUT the BLOOD of LIFE, you do not see what GOD sees.
