The mind is the most competent computer in the world, but it will only function on the input it receives. There are two ultimate sources of information:

1) The creative, life-producing word from the creator

2) The counterfeit words of death and deception sent as fiery darts by the enemy of your soul.

"Shutting out all worldly focus and centering your thoughts on me will produce holiness in your inner most being - your mind. (Proverbs 23:7)

It is essential that you protect your heart and not expose it to those damaging things that produce negative thinking within you. (Proverbs 4:23)

A mind under my influence will produce words and actions that create life in every area. "My words are spirit and they are life." (John 6:63)

Likewise, a carnal - unregenerated mind will produce words and actions that will end in death and decay.

Many have said, "an idle mind is the devil’s workshop." It is your responsibility to take every thought captive. (II Cor. 10:5); to resist the devil (Jas. 4:7); to choose to think on pure, lovely, wholesome things (Phil. 4:8).

Your mind is continually active. It is a life-changing tool. It can be used for good or for evil. It can produce life or death. The choices you make on a moment-to-moment basis will determine what your focus will be.

As you choose me - focus on me - listen to me and willingly obey me - give me total control in every area of your life - all hindrances will be removed. All resistance to my total take-over will be removed and you will walk in perfect unity with me - abiding in the vine (John 15:4), one with me even as Jesus is one with me and was on the earth (1 john 5:1-8), and his mind will take the place of that carnal mind which is focused on things of the world. Thus, the mind of Christ may fully manifest in you.

It is only in this place of total surrender that you will walk as Jesus walked - fully led by my spirit and fully empowered by me - my presence - my anointing ever present in you to destroy the works of the devil; power to pull down every stronghold - to defeat all principalities and powers of darkness in heavenly places.

Die to self that i may live in you - that you may be a reflection of my son - that I may manifest in you and continue my work of redemption through you.

Several years ago, the lord gave me a very simple graphic to emphasize the importance of controlling what you allow your mind to dwell upon.

He showed me the front door of my own home and he indicated that the doorbell was ringing. It was my responsibility to not only walk toward the door, but to know for sure who was ringing the bell. He had me look through the security "spy hole" in the door and identify the caller. Then he had me make a decision to open the door or choose to leave the door closed.

At this point He explained to me that in this graphic, the FRONT DOOR represented my own MIND. He showed me that He was giving me the RESPONSIBILITY TO CHOOSE what I was going to ALLOW INTO MY MIND. When I IDENTIFIED who was trying to GAIN ENTRY to my MIND, I had to decide whether than were going to be ALLOWED TO

COME IN, SIT DOWN AND BE ENTERTAINED or whether I was going to REJECT ENTRY into my MIND by this CALLER.

The definition is obvious – when we find ourselves beginning to let our MIND WANDER and find ourselves dwelling on things that are not spiritually profitable, we must make a CONSCIOUS, WILLFUL DECISION to take control of that MIND and CHOOSE A MENU [Phil. 4:8] of what kinds of things OUR MIND is going to be allowed to FOCUS ON – DWELL ON – ENTERTAIN.

It is this kind of FINE TUNING that the Lord is doing within each of us these days. For, if we, like an EARTHLY FATHER,

Cannot CONTROL OUR OWN HOUSEHOLD, how is the Lord ever going to be able to TRUST US WITH GREATER THINGS TO DO.
