August 2008

Through the years I have heard knowledgeable people say “if things aren’t going bad, then you are not doing anything for the Lord.” Or something of that nature, meaning that if life is rough then the “devil” is after you because you are busy “doing” for the Lord. How ridiculous is that? (It is true that “in His presence there is fullness of joy” isn’t it?) This kind of teaching can bring someone into condemnation and confusion who is trying their best to be obedient to the Spirit. HOW CAN THEY BRING THIS INTO BALANCE WITH THE Word which tells them “I will never leave you,” “In the presence of the Lord there is joy forever more” or “Rejoice always” and on and on throughout scripture of how He brings us joy? Then someone in the church system tells you that you are not working for the Lord if all is joyful around you? I know of what I speak because I have been there, done that and got a T-shirt!  I learned real soon that joy is a flag flown high when He is there! My celebrating of His presence was a thorn in the sides of a lot of people, but on the other hand it was an encouragement to others. Don’t be afraid to rejoice in Him, regardless of what people will say. He abides in the praises of His people. “Rejoice in the Lord always and again I say rejoice.” (Philippians 4:4)  Always remember this: He doesn’t say rejoice when all is well but rejoice ALWAYS, regardless of what is going on.

It is absolutely necessary that we get to the place in Him where we can accept the fact that He didn’t promise us a rose garden. He has promised us a purposeful, complete life that would glorify Him on this earth; nothing more or nothing less. Sometime there are hills to walk OVER, mountains to CLIMB and rivers to CROSS. The ground is level in places; the ground is rocky in places and sometimes full of holes. What is that to the Lord? What is that to us?

I want to share a few things that I learned the hard way. I pray that I can help someone find it a lot easier to have the love, peace and joy present in their lives, without condemnation.

When we go through “bad” times, the first thing we have been taught to do is rebuke the “devil”. Do we ever think we might be suffering consequences from some thought, word or action that we have done? We cause most of our own problems. We reap what we sow with our words, deeds and thoughts. Words are spoken thoughts that usually have actions along with them. If we sow ugly, we get ugly, Bad times can be caused by OUR MOUTH! We need to get into the habit of looking for the reason for these times in our own backyard! If we would put on the mind of Christ, bad times would not be bad; they could be looked at as a growing time! Look for God in the mess and you will find Him! He has never left you.

The problem is inside of us. Nothing from the outside can hurt us if we are diligent to seek His face and will in all things. Oh, I know it is easier to blame it on the “devil,” the children or someone at work. “If it wasn’t for (you fill in your excuse). The time comes when excuses won’t work anymore and we have to own our problems. When we are there we have come a long way and the joy will hang around a lot longer.

Praise when adversity comes and it will always bring the God conscious one closer to Him. He tells us to keep our minds set on Him and He will bring us perfect peace.(Isaiah 26:3) If we know who we are and that He lives in us then we won’t have any problem praising Him in the midst of it. If we know the Spirit is revealing to our flesh where the problem is we will be excited in seeing the change that is bound to come. All the adversity that comes is a new revelation of what He is doing in us to tear away the veil that we have allowed to hide the truth from us. It is time for all of this to leave so we can have the Spirit revealed to the world through us. The manifestation of the Sons of God is right on the horizon and time is not slowing down. We have to get down to business and get out of the box religion has held us in for centuries. God is a God of the now and now is the time to move! There are millions of people out there that are waiting on us and we sit back afraid of change! How dare we even think about what could happen to us if we spoke out and proclaimed the truth! The Holy Grail is tipping over inside of us and it will spill out if we stand strong in Him!  Embrace the “bad” times and be reminded of whose you are and who He is. They are all good times and plenty of reason to rejoice.

A favorite scripture of mine is Psalm 23. David declares the Psalm in the scripture but by the Spirit Father is saying, “I AM your shepherd, you shall not want, (lack in anything), I make you lie down in green pastures, I restoreth your soul, I lead you in paths of righteousness for MY names sake. Get the point?  The Great I AM is doing all the work! We trust and obey when He speaks. It is all about what He does for us on a daily basis, not what He WILL do for us after we have made ourselves perfect.

He is our daily bread and sustains us through all the “bad” times. Even if we caused them, He uses them for a purpose--to draw our thoughts back to Him.

We all know He has a purpose for each of us. The main one being to glorify Him on this earth so all would know Him, not just know about Him.

However, we still have questions like, “why the bad times?” It’s alright to question God. He tells us in Isaiah 1:18 “come and let us reason together.” He wants us to discuss things with Him. He has given us the mind of Christ but He knows we, most of the time, walk in our carnal mind. He needs to talk with us about situations until we have His mind on it. He tells us in Hebrews to come boldly before the throne to find help in time of need. We can approach with confidence that He is there. Where? In our midst, abiding, waiting for us to come calling.

These bad times will cause us to do just that if we are sincere. We can fight as the world fights but the peace that passes all understanding will not come until we turn to Him. He is a jealous God and we are not to have any other God before Him. When we turn to the world’s way, we are saying the world is smarter than He is. (He really doesn’t like that!!)

The purpose of the hard times is to draw us to Himself so He can direct our paths. Without the hard times there would be no growth. What we need to do is to learn to keep our minds staid on HIM and enter in immediately. All creation is groaning for the manifestation of the Sons of God. Let us co-operate with Holy Spirit, our Teacher, and bring forth this manifestation. Get out of the box and be free to be all He has called you to be, the glorious Sons of God! Let the veil go so you can see clearly. Don’t be encumbered by the hard times. Let them do the work they are sent to complete so the Pure Light can be seen in the entire world to the Glory of God!

The consciousness of His presence will solve anything when we recognize and acknowledge that presence.  Things might not work out the way we want it to but it will be the best for us. He started the whole thing by giving His best for us and He wants the best for us now.

He has taken our sicknesses and pains, pierced through for our transgressions (wrong doings), He received blows that cut in for our iniquities (gross injustices; wickedness) and all our iniquity was caused to land on Him. (Isaiah 53:4-6) He has done all that is necessary for us to be joyful, peaceful and full of love. Love for Him and all mankind.

So now comes the BIG question—Why aren’t we full of Love, Peace, Joy and Righteousness? The answer is that we ARE full of all this but we need to acknowledge it! We should never be anything else except what He, the Word, says we are! It really makes no difference how bad the situation gets, if we enter in and acknowledge His presence, we can’t be anything less than all those things. If we aren’t, we are no more than the world and the most pitiful of all mankind!

“No weapon formed against you, (weather it be your doings or someone else’s) shall prosper. And every tongue that rises against you in judgment, YOU (not Him) shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord and their righteousness is from Me” says the Lord.

The weapon against us is our tongue, but we also condemn those that rise against us with our tongue. This is the heritage from our Father. All power has been given to us by Jesus Christ Himself and He expects us to use it to the Glory of our Father.

Remember, He is God of Gods and of the whole earth. That includes this body of flesh made from the earth and the terra firma we walk on. He has given us His authority and He abides in our midst to bring it all to pass. We just have to speak His Word and leave the rest to Him.

He is in the middle of the storm and life is not about waiting for the storm to pass, it is about learning to dance in the rain! Dance with God as things are being worked for your good!

Love you all.

Frank’s Focus

Throughout this writing, Barbara has been making the point that Father is resident within each of us, not off somewhere on some ethereal cloud or on some throne in a physical location called heaven. Yes, heaven is where Father rules from but that is within each of us. The main message that Jesus taught was; the kingdom of heaven is within you.  To be a kingdom there must be a king ruling. Guess where? Every since the Nicene

Council of 325 A.D., the religious system has taught that we were separated from God. Nowhere in scripture will you find that statement. The only separation that we have is the thought that was picked up by Eve in the garden. Recall that God asked Adam, who told you that you were naked (without God)? We have bought that error hook, line and sinker. The important thing to do is allow Holy Spirit to light your inward candle so that you can be aware of the presence of God within you at all times. Wherever you go, whatever you do, it is God doing it. The anointing is not received by a laying on of hands, it is a person who we identify as The Christ.

You can’t anymore become what you already are than you can come back from where you have never been. You are NOW, not will be later, a son or daughter of God. Believe it and act on it!!
