God Has a Plan

Galatians 3:26-29

Abrahamís Promise from God was that his seed would be Sons of God; not Isaac, but his seed. (Genesis 15 and 17)  Chapter 15 tells us about the covenant that God cut with Abraham. That covenant was that God had given all the land from the river of Egypt to the great river Euphrates and all the ďitesĒ that lived there. Later in 17:2, 3, 6, 7, 8, and 9, He explains the covenant to Abraham, even to the promise of a child to be born to him and Sarah after they were past the child-bearing age. I donít know that they had anything to do with the birth but that God placed the seed into the womb and brought forth the Promised Seed. Verse 19 gives us the name that God has already called him by and the covenant that would be made with him. ďI will establish My covenant with him for an everlasting covenant and with his descendants after himĒ.

The Law and Ten commandments came some 400 years after the promise, to keep us until the time was right for the Seed to come. When He came into the world and died and was resurrected the law and commandments were fulfilled. The Promise given by God to Abraham concerning Isaac was NOT annulled!

Until the time of the Law there was no sin. Until there is a Law you canít break one and that is why Abraham, being a liar (Genesis 12:10-19) was still considered a righteous man. He was a faithful man and God counted that as righteousness in His sight. Can you see that once Jesus died and Christ rose from the grave to fulfill the Law, sin is no more? There is no Law to which we are accountable only our gracious Heavenly Father that knows the flesh is weak and so judges us by the Spirit. That is an understanding that will set you free if you will allow it to get into your Spirit! There is no law so there is no sin to those who trust in the works of the Cross. The flesh is still weak but our Spirit is strong in Him and His Love for us and ours for Him keeps us in perfect peace. THAT IS GOOD NEWS. We donít walk around in condemnation anymore. We can come to Him boldly, with a clear conscious asking what we will. (Hebrews 10:18-22)  We can walk in the rest that Hebrews 4:1 talks about. Verse 3 of that same chapter He tells us that the works were finished from the foundation of the world. There is nothing left to do except enter in and enter in we must, that our lives would glorify the Father.

Fatherís next step was to write His Laws in our hearts. Laws written on stone can be broken and we know they were and if you are trying to live by them today they are still being broken. If you break one you are guilty of breaking them ALL! Who can do such a thing? There are those that try but to no avail. If you break one law you have to sacrifice something that will shed blood. There is no forgiveness of sin except blood is shed. God cut the covenant in blood and He prepared a sacrifice for our breaking of the laws. Jesus shed His Blood once and for all and for ALL. There are no exceptions. John 3:16-ĒHe so loved the WORLD that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believes in Him shall have everlasting life!Ē There will be a day in everyoneís life that they will believe in the works of Jesus and the plan of God. I believe that with all my heart. No one can take that away from me. My Father did not send anyone into this world to send them to burn forever in some fire! If you even for a moment think this of God then you donít know Him as He is. Your day of enlightenment will come, I promise you. He will come to you as a thief in the night and you will be changed! Just as Mary and Joseph and probably Abraham and Sarah, didnít have anything to say about the baby in the womb you wonít have anything to say about His coming to you. It is not a planned thing but such a delightful experience that you will stand in awe at His marvelous works. He will abide with you and you wonít even be asked if it is OK with you.

Some will say that I am confusing the Law and the Ten Commandments as being the same thing. No, I am not. The Law was given to show the Israelites how to live. If you go into Leviticus you will find the reason for the Law as it is explained to Moses. Everything, every word was for a reason for the people to be clean and healthy. They must have been very unruly and unorganized and very unclean before the Law was given. Father wanted them to be different from the rest of the world so others would be drawn to Himself through them. He had chosen Israel to be an example.

The Ten Commandments were given to show the character of the people. They were actually promises for them when they came into their inheritance and the land of milk and honey, Canaan.

When Jesus did His work on the cross the Ten Commandments became our promises as soon as we come into our inheritance by accepting the work of the Cross! He fulfilled the Law by writing them on our hearts so we could be changed! Anything that is a part of us cannot be taken away like the ones on the stones!

Paul has lain out the plan of God in Ephesians. He is addressing the saints who are in Ephesus as well as the faithful in Christ Jesus. Sounds to me as though he is talking to a group of people that know the Lord but is not too faithful and to another part of the same group that is faithful. He is telling them that all God has is for them all not just a few faithful.  They are all equal and eligible for the promises in Godís sight. Paul tells us why He died and rose again for them as well as the Israelites. God had chosen Peter to bring the Gospel to the Jews and Paul to bring it to the Gentiles. If the Scriptures ever spoke to us now, in this day, this is speaking loud and clear. It is deep in Paulís heart that Godís Plan for the ages includes ALL people not just the few that the church teaches today. His Grace reaches even those that are so despicable and seems to be so far away from Him. They will know someday that He was there all the time. God has a plan and no man can annul it. It has been since eternity and will be completed by God Himself.

I probably have hurt some by being so blunt but Father has held me back for awhile from writing this. Probably because it is not what I thought I was to write. It has surprised me but the time is drawing near and we have to be strong in Him when times get bad. Jesus is appearing for the second time to a lot of people and wants to appear to everyone, not just a few. People all over the world are ďseeingĒ Him and it is for a reason. There will be a people that will not believe until the very end and we donít know when that will be. We have to be ready to give a reason for our salvation and we can only do it if we believe we are in Him and He is in us. I adjure you all to be looking for Him and He will come to you in a way that only you can accept.

Please donít take anything personal that you might perceive from this writing but know that we have a loving Heavenly Father and He will complete the work He has started and fulfill all the promises He has made. We are the objects of His affections and He will rule over us!
