                                                   Examples   part 2

In the last part of this study, we looked at Peter. Peter did actually walk  on the water, while his focus was on Jesus. When he allowed his focus to drop down to the boisterous sea, he began to sink.  Peter allowed his mind to believe that the sea was so strong and violent, that its force was stronger than what had been in him, since before the foundation of the world. (Gen 1:27). He walked on the sea, forgetting the sea's strength, UNTIL his mind dropped down and his focus became on the sea.

Throughout this study, keep Rev 13:8, 1John 4:17, and Gen 1:27, in mind. And remember
NOTHING ABOUT THESE TRUTHS HAVE CHANGED EXCEPT OUR FOCUS!!

Rev 13:8
, "And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.  If any man have an ear, let him hear."

1John 4:17, " Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world."

Gen 1:27,
"So God created man in this own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them."

Ok, let's take a look at Philip. I believe that Philip was the perfect example of one being just like Jesus. His mind was open to Father and he was bold to do as Father said.

Acts 8:5-6, "Then Philip went down to the city of Samaria and preached Christ unto them. And the people with one accord gave heed unto those things which Philip spake, hearing and seeing the miracles which he did."

Notice in verse 5,
"Philip preached Christ." It doesn't say that Philip preached Jesus Christ, he preached CHRIST. Later on,  in verse 12, it
tells us that
"the things concerning the kingdom of God and the name of Jesus Christ..." The word "name" in the Greek is NATURE.  Philip came preaching, the same message of truth that Jesus preached, the KINGDOM OF GOD!! (Mark 1:14)

"NOW after that John was put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the Kingdom of God."

John the Baptist preached repentance of sin;, when Jesus came upon the scene, He preached the Kingdom of God. Don't you think it's time we did too. Time that we followed our Example or Pattern?

It's time that we take our focus off of good and bad; right and wrong; evil and the devil; soulish things and most of all OFF OF SIN!!  And put and keep our focus on the Kingdom of God and things that concern it?? And keep our focus on The Kingdom and Father coming forth FROM WITHIN US??!!

I love Philip. If it were not for Father's Plan, I would wish that Philip had lived a much longer life. I am sure that there was so much in Philip that we could have learned from regarding us, the Kingdom and Father.  Philip was a "PRESENT MOMENT"  person. He dealt with some of the same kind of people, like today, that if they SAW miracles to "prove" who you are, they would believe.  Today, to "prove" who you are, folks want signs, wonders and miracles, in order to believe. You actually have to shoot yourself, in order for them to believe that you are a manifested Son and that death can't hold you. (Even though Father's written Word tells us that we are!)

Acts 18-19, "And when Simon saw that through laying on of the apostles' hands the Holy Ghost was given, he offered them money, saying, Give me also this power, that on whomsoever I lay my hands, he may receive the Holy Ghost."

Now, Simon was a believer, baptized, and followed Philip. Yet, he offered money to receive God's power and Spirit. (VS 13).
Look closely at the following verses.

"But, Peter said unto him, thy money perish with thee, because thou hast thought that the gift of God may be purchased with money. Thou hast either part nor lot in this matter; for thy heart  is not right in the sight of God. Repent therefore of this thy wickedness, and pray God, if perhaps the thought of thine heart (MIND) may be forgiven thee."

Would you believe that some who call themselves "Kingdom", are still preaching stuff like verse 23!!  When they could explain Prov.23:7, to people and help then get their focus ONLY ON FATHER and who we are in Him!!!

Philip was a man who heard God and straight away did what he was told to do, BEFORE the carnal mind could discourage him.

VS 29-39, "Then the Spirit said unto Philip, Go near, and join yourself to this chariot. And Philip ran thither to him and heard him read the prophet Isaiah, and said, understandest thou what thou readest? And he said, How can I, except some man should guide me? and he desired Philip that he would come up and sit with him. The place of the scripture which he read was this, He was led as a sheep to the slaughter; and like a lamb dumb before his shearer, so opened he not his mouth; in his humiliation his judgment was taken away; and who shall declare his generation? for his life is taken from the earth. And the eunuch answered Philip and said, I pray thee, of whom speaketh the prophet this? of himself, or of some other man?  Then Philip opened his mouth, and began at the same scripture and preached unto him, Jesus. And as they went on their way, they came unto a certain water; and the eunuch said, See, here is water; what doth hinder me to be baptized? And Philip said, If thou believeth with thine heart (mind) , thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. And he commanded the chariot to stand still; and they went down both into the water, both Philip and the eunuch; and he baptized him

Would you do this, if you were told to do this to a complete stranger who had not even spoken to you? in a grocery store? or a laundry mat? or even in the office?  Or would you think to yourself, "Folks will think I'm crazy!!'  Or "Oh I can't do that, I'm not a preacher!"   Well, you ARE MUCH MORE than a preacher!!  You are one that Father is living His Life through, right here on earth!!

VS 39-40, "And when they were come up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord caught Philip away that the eunuch saw him no more; and he went on his way. But Philip was found at Azotus; and passing through he preached in all the cities, till he came to Caesarea."

Philip was a physical man, using the Mind of Christ. Not the mind of Jesus, but the Mind of Christ. The anointed Mind that God has given each one of us. (1Cor 2:16). There is no doubt in me, that Philip knew that he was a forerunner to be used to show us that WE, being created from the very Substance of the most supernatural, that is God, can be moved as supernaturally as Philip was.  The most important question:
DO WE BELIEVE IT IN OUR HEAR (MIND)!! Or do we believe as Simon did?

Folks, meditate on what Father says, let it change your THINKING so that it is manifested in you. Father didn't use these men as examples just for us to read about!! He did it to WAKE US UP AS TO WHO WE ARE AND WHAt IS POSSIBLE, with us.

In the next part, I am going to share a story with you, about a man, used really supernaturally, that  I know very well. And we're going to look at Jesus and the disciples.

to be continued.
