ILLUSION and the MAKING OF GOD'S WORD A LIE

ILLUSION: mistaken perception of reality; a false belief; misconception.

James 3:13-15, "Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? Let him shew out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom. But, if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth. This wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish..."

ISAIAH 28:15, "Because ye have said, We have a covenant with death, and with hell are we at agreement; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, it shall not come unto us: for we have made lies our refuge, and under falsehood have we hid ourselves.?"


I want us to look for a bit at this word, "illusion".  We have heard a lot about us living in an illusion. I think we need to fully understand what this "illusion" is, that we have been living in. As we see, above, the definition of this word tells us exactly what an "illusion" is. So, we know WHAT it is, and we need to understand HOW it is and HOW it comes to be and HOW it exists.

When we say that we live in an illusional world, this statement is true, and yet it can be looked at in a false sense.

This earthen world is real. It is solid; it can be seen; it can be touched and it is being lived in and on. But, what about the illusional side of it?  As we know, the natural, carnal eyes can make things appear to be something that it is not.

There is a beer commercial on TV, where a man and a woman are sitting beside the sea and a ship, in the distance, is sailing by.  The ship looks pretty small. The man picks up an empty beer bottle and holds it up in parallel to the place where the water meets the beach. As he holds this bottle up, it is placed in front of the ship. As he holds the bottle there, it appears that the ship is sailing into the bottle. This is an illusion.

Another illusion that I saw on TV, was on the Dr Phil's show. A young white woman had become pregnant by a young black man. The young woman's dad was prejudice. He told Dr Phil all the reasons that he had disowned his daughter. He said that blacks were drug addicts. He also said, that all blacks knew, was how to live off of welfare.  Dr Phil ask this man how had he learned so much about all this. The man said, "my family taught me and it has came down, generation after generation, and was believed by his family. (but not by his wife and not by his daughter).  So, Dr Phil began giving this man some statistics. I don't remember all the numbers, but, whites outnumbered blacks as to being on welfare. Also, that more whites were arrested for drug abuse, than blacks. It is just that MORE BLACKS are shown on TV, being arrested, than whites. This man had believed an illusion that he truly believed for some 60 yrs. As it turned out, the man admitted, by the numbers shown, that he was wrong. All those years he had shown disrespect to black people because of an illusion he had be taught, wrongly. Arrangements were made for this man to visit the homes of some black people; to have dinner with them; to get to know their families; and to apologize for his past thinking. But, this man had allowed an illusion to come to the place where it was tearing apart his own family.

Illusions are like that. They can seem so real; so right; and so believable. And we are told in the Bible, "as a man believeth in his heart, so is he." A belief can dictate our lives; how we live it and how we see other things and other people. In fact, ONE ILLUSION that dictates how we live and how we survive and how we react to things is the ILLUSION that we are living our lives!  We are clearly told in GALATIANS 2:20, "I am crucified with Christ; nevertheless I  live  , yet  NOT I BUT CHRIST LIVETH IN ME;  and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me."

We are also told in ROMANS 6:3-6. "Know ye not, that so many of us as WERE baptized into Jesus Christ WERE baptized into his death?  Therefore we ARE buried with him by baptism into death; that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in NEWNESS of life. For if we  HAVE BEEN planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection; KNOWING THIS, that our OLD MAN IS CRUCIFIED with him....."

We THINK that we have to try to live as good a life as we can and then die and go to heaven. But, you see, it IS NOT US that is living, it is Christ, or FATHER's LIFE that is being lived.  We SEE with our NATURAL EYES that it is indeed US doing the living, but, this is a misconception, or an illusion. You see, we are not seeing the real US with spiritual eyes, we look at ourselves with eyes that make God's Word, a lie. And we see an illusion that we THINK is really us.

The carnal mind (that IS being done away with) tells us that we are sick, crippled, diseased etc. But, we are told, "Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness; by whose stripes you WERE healed."

"But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our  peace was upon him;  and with his stripes we ARE healed."

I know, some will say, "well my doctor told me I have this and I have that, and I'll have it the rest of my life". But you see, remember the man on Dr Phil's show? We were brought up to believe that disease can touch us and that we must see physical death, so it is ingrained within us. But who lies, our beliefs or God? This is the only answer that we must come to believe. Only this answer and us believing it, will cause things to change and reverse. I remember when people use to say, "If God said, I believe it, and that's the end of the subject", and then they would turn right around and say, "this arthritis killing me". They spoke their own death into being.

It's a hard thing to change something that you have believed all your life. But, we are told, "You HAVE the mind of Christ". This is HOW our thinking is changed. You know, it just took a second, to believe that you received salvation. And that belief was so strong in you that NOTHING or ON ONE can take that away from you. Well, as we meditate, or think continually on what we are told about us, Father can work this change of mind in you just as He made you know that you ARE saved.

This is what ILLUSION is. A false belief. A misconception. A mistaken perception of reality. NOTHING will change for us, as long as we go on believing these illusions. These illusions is also, what makes us see the world as we see it. We see what we focus on. IF we are focusing on the "truths" of this illusion, this is what we see and this is what we live.......and die. Yes, we do go on living in the spirit or invisible realm, but, we will remain there UNTIL our thinking is changed.

We've been taught that this world does not really exist, but we were mistaken. This world, the solidness of it, the visibility of it, is as real as God is real. After all, didn't Jesus pray, "Father, thy Kingdom come, thy will be done in  earth, as it is in heaven..."  God wants this earth to behold Him. He wants to be seen, as He really is.  He wants to taste what we taste; He wants to touch what we touch; He wants to experience what we experience. You say, "Linda, I thought you said, we are dead". And we are. That is, the "we" that we've THOUGHT we were. We are ONE WITH FATHER. We are the very "atoms" of His body. So, what does that make us? "as He is, in this present arrangement, so ARE we."  We are so ONE with Him that He only sees Himself when He looks at us.!!

So, understand what I mean when I say that we live in an illusion. All is an illusion, that is not matching up, to what Father says really is true. It's an illusion because of the way we look at it. If we look at it through carnal eyes, we will see the illusion that seems so real that we are a part of it. But, if we look at things as Father says things are, then we are not a part of the illusion. It is as what was said about Jesus, "He was IN the world, but NOT PART of the world." This doesn't mean that we just claim something, it means that we must go before Father WITH the TRUTH that HE says this world and us really are. As we go to Him, He brings forth the reality of the Truth that we take to Him, and He waits for us to BELIEVE or not to believe. He will not force HIS opinion on us, but, as we believe HIM, His strength, and power and anointing, that He placed in us, at creation, that Truth becomes a part of you; A LIVING PART of you. You see, there is no doubt; no unbelief; no lie, no illusion in Him and didn't HE tell us that we are IN HIS IMAGE? That image will not manifest until we believe His Truths.

Let me AGAIN reassure you that I do not believe that we are mere mortal man. Now, I will continue. We must take the Truths that Father says, and work it to COME UP from within us. It's all in us. "For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodilly. And you are complete in him...."

"And of his fulness have all we received and grace for grace."

Do you see this Truth? We ARE complete in Him. And of His FULLNESS have all we RECEIVED. This is present tense and past tense. We ARE, and we RECEIVED. Now, again, who is lieing, God or what we have been taught?  It is rising up in some folks that WE ARE IN THIS PRESENT ARRANGEMENT (world), but we ARE NOT A PART OF IT.  Are we in this world? Sure we are. But, we are not a part of the present arrangement. What is the present arrangement? The illusion. The way we think about things. The way we see things. The accepting of what the natural carnal eyes tells us that is contrary to what Father tells us. This is who He is speaking to, when He says, "YOUR thoughts ARE NOT MY THOUGHTS." Those who THINK that they are mere mortal man, their THOUGHTS ARE NOT HIS THOUGHTS!  Why? Because He tells us that we ARE HIS IMAGE. We are told, "ALL that God creates, He creates PERFECT." When HE tells us that we CAN do ALL things, why aren't we? Because we don't believe Him!

Take a baby and all of his younger years, he is told, "you can't do anything right", "you are stupid", "you are incapable of doing anything", and how does that child grow up? BELIEVING IT and not doing anything worthwhile. But, take a baby, and raise that child, telling him ALL the truths that God says he is, watch out for the NEW CREATION to automatically BE WHAT HE IS. When babies are born, they coo and smile and laugh BEFORE they are taught to, because they have not been away from Father, as long as later in this life. A child can see angels, because that Truth is still in them. This is not a "positive thinking" thing. It's just that their mind has not been as polluted with the natural carnal realm. But, as that child grows, and is taught by MAN, that mind slips away into dormancy (if there is such a word).

My little grandson, Dalton, said to me, "Nana, sometimes I have monsters in my dreams". I told him, "Baby, where does Jesus live?". Dalton said, "in my heart". I told him that when he wakes up from a bad dream, to just ask Jesus to take away the monsters and He will. He BELIEVES. When his little sister, Harley, fell down the back steps, Dalton said, "Nana, the angels caught Harley so she wouldn't be hurt".  Dalton is 4 and Harlely is 2. As they grow and hear what MAN tells them, that pure mind grows more dormant each day, until they have to put on the mind of Christ. This is what has happened to us. We HAVE the mind of Christ, we just have to use it daily until it is ALL that we use.

With all the hurricanes that have been happening, there are some who are beginning to take the dominion that WE WERE told to take over this world. Of course, from not using this dominion that was given to us from the foundation of the world, we are just learning how to listen to what Father speaks and trying to do as He shows us. We/He spoke to Hurricane Ophela, and it DID turn back. But, the thing to remember is HEARING FATHER FIRST, then speaking. I had a sister who has an online ministry tell me that it was MY FAULT that Katrina did all it did, because I did not take dominion of it. And this is the mindset of many Christians. Especially when it is their conscience that is bothering them. Why is their conscience bothering them?  Because anyone who will just set and think about what Father has told us to do, KNOWS that we are to take dominion; and we are to do greater works than even Jesus did. But, it's a "new" thing to us, to do it. So they had rather be cute and say things are our faults, when they themselves don't have the guts to be obedient. REMEMBER, I am speaking of people who KNOW who they are, that will take dominion, and will change the mind. Even while walking, in person with Jesus, at first the disciples doubted themselves UNTIL they learned it was Him, the Spirit of God doing the doing. Likewise it is with those coming forth in the doing of what they see and hear their Father do and say. AND, IT WILL HAPPEN WITH US!!

I wish that we could just speak to EVERY hurricane and speak, "cause no death". But, we are to HEAR FIRST, and if we don't hear, then "your will be done, not mine". We will get it right. It's a part of His plan and not one part of His plan will fail. Remember, Jesus LEARNED by the things He suffered. We will RECALL to memory too.

Many are experiencing changes of the body. But, before they experience it, they must receive the revelation from their Father. HIS plan will and is coming to pass. Some may laugh, scoff or whatever, it is no bother. ONLY focus on Father and what He says we ARE and ARE to do and BE is the only thing that is of any importance. Do not be swayed. Keep the focus where it was/is intended to be. ON HIM.

In part two of this article, I am going to give all that I can find that tells us what we ARE, and share it with you. Take these words to Father and allow Him to show you the LIFE in them that we ARE, not will be, but ARE. Meditate on them. Let them rise up within you. BE YOURSELF, the image of your Father.
