Embracing the Darkness
part 2
Finding our way through the darkness is the "journey of Life". It's a
wonderful place when we quit complaining or murmuring and learn to embrace the
darkness. This is where we find Isaiah 45: 3, "I will give you the
TREASURES OF DARKNESS, and hidden riches of secret places, that you may know I
AM." One of the first things that has to be dealt with is our
thinking. Most are just breaking out of thinking in the "box" we have
lived. Christianity has kept us here teaching us how and what to think knowing
that if we begin to think for ourselves religion can not hold us. We are free!
In the Gospel of Thomas it makes an interesting saying, "Jesus said, The
seeker should not stop until he finds. When he does find, he will be disturbed.
After having been disturbed, he will be astonished. Then he will reign over
everything." Religion told us our seeking is to get to heaven someday
but we have found heaven is not a place, it's a state of being. So we find
ourselves in the journey of transformation and the renewing of our minds. The
place this though takes us is "DISTURBED" because we start to see the
reality of life and how religion kept us veiled to the truth. If you risk
pressing through the "disturbed" realm and surrender to the unfolding
of your divine nature then extraordinary visions will be awoken IN YOU. Visions
that will astound you and drag you into a place the mystics call "the
kingdom of bewilderment". Have you found this place? Its that
"placeless place" where everything you have imagined to be true about
yourself or about humanity is rubbed by the splendor of what you discover.
The possibilities within are unlimited… we only dream the dream and watch the
unfolding. As we press through on our journey many changes take place. One of
the latest thoughts opened is the reality THERE IS ONLY ONE POWER IN THE
UNIVERSE. Remember we are Spirits that have been lowered into this realm of
vanity to have a spiritual experience. As we begin to find this life we find
that tremendous powers to influence and transform reality is born within. Just
in the "spitting of the Atom' showed a power the world had not known also
the splitting of the human identity is to reveal the divine identity within.
Here a huge new transforming power is born, a ruling power, the power that great
saints of days past have displayed through healings and miracles with a
undaunted stamina of sacred passion and sacrifice. The seeker that becomes a
finder becomes a ruler and here the divine that has been hidden within all along
breaks forth as the morning. This secret is to be lived out in the present day
and will make "finders" and rulers of us all. This is why Jesus came,
to show us the reality of this life.
Thomas all said, "When you understand yourself you will be understood…
If you do not know yourselves, then you exist in poverty and you are that
poverty." Jesus is saying here that until you find this life you are in
spiritual poverty and that the ultimate experience is not beyond this world, in
some transcendent "otherwhere" but the reality is NOW and found
within.
This is the place beyond meditation
Its ISNESS.... finding the reality
I Am that I Am
In Thomas, Jesus also made it clear "to know the truth of yourself will
demand and cost: nothing less than a total commitment to the Divine and a total
reversal of the ordinary values of the untransformed world." If one
desires "kingdom consciousness" then we must surrender all
conventional ways of being, acting, or living and all conventional games of
status or power. When you step forth you will risk poverty and the contempt of
this world to stay true to that divine reality that overturns and potentially
transforms all worldly realities. This life is just the opposite to the
conservative, prosperity-conscious, family-centered, rule ridden form of reality
so often promulgated in his name. Are you ready to step out on the water? To
throw caution to the winds? Then you might find this life of wandering poverty,
but owning all things, abandonment to the winds of God, and a resolute refusal
of the false securities of dogma, authority, or worldly or conventional
religious rules of conduct. WOW…outside any man's box…walking with/as the
Father.
I hope you can hear my heart in all this. I'm so tired and worn out with a
gospel of "enticing words of man's wisdom for NOW our gospel is in POWER
AND DEMONSTATION of the Holy Ghost." Press on Saints… the clarity of this
new day is breaking forth. Joel 2:2, "A day of darkness and of
gloominess, a day of clouds and thick darkness, as the morning spread upon the
mountains: a great people and a strong; there has never been the like, neither
shall be any more after it…A fire devoureth before them; and behind them a
flame burneth: the land is as THE GARDEN OF EDEN before them."
Have we learned to risk everything or do we want just to be a follower? When we
partake of the "fire water" it opens to us a divine knowledge and a
divine passion that Jesus knew, for in doing you have become as Jesus, one with
him and one with his fiery source. One of the first discoveries I have
found is no more duality. We must see the impotence of all dualist concepts
which dissolves in the divine light of oneness. You only find these truths in
the darkness of your being.
There comes a certain moment in the experience of every
person. when a touch of the Spirit breaks through into consciousness; when a ray
of light penetrates, not because of the person, but in spite of Him. From the
moment that ray touches him, the end is inevitable…. As He is going to find
his way to the very center of his being, right to the throne of God.
