Genesis Study #2 12/26/09 These are the questions that I ask each of you to think about.
1) Do you believe that you HAVE the FULLNESS OF GOD? 2) Do you believe that you HAVE to die? 3) Do you believe that you are perfect? 4) Do you believe that you have to have sickness and diseases? 5) Do you believe that you have overcome "the evil one"? 6) Do you believe that you know all things? 7) Do you believe that there are some, who will not be saved" 8) Do you believe that those who have seen death, cannot come into perfection without you? 9) Do you believe that the words you speak, will cause death and life? 10) Do you bblieve that you really are the image of God? 11) Do you believe that by accepting Jesus as your Saviour, you have salvation? 12) DO YOU BELIEVE WHAT THE BIBLE SAYS?
We will find the answers to all of these questions in this study of Genesis. Please understand, there are no right or wrong answers. The answers that we believe NOW, are just steps to our groweth. With growth, our answers change. The more understanding we receive, the more we begin how to see differently.
THROUGHOUT THIS GROWTH, REMEMBER PROVERBS 22;20 and what that word "EXCELLENT" MEANS; it means that God is telling us that there is at least 3 REALMS OF UNDERSTANDING. So, as your beliefs begin to change, do not think that you are receiving something that you have not been taught before. It is just that you are growing and changing from thinking like a babe thinks, and moving on to a higher realm of understanding. The same is true when you start changing from the adolesent thinking and moving on to the MATURE thinking.
Proverbs 22:20-21, " Have not I written to thee EXCELLENT things in counsels and knowledge, that I might make thee know the certainty of the words of truth; that thou mightest answer the words of truth TO THEM THAT I SEND UNTO THEE?"
Remember when Jesus was teaching, and the disciples asked Him, "Why do you teach the crowds in parables, and then call us (the disciples) aside and teach us the meaning of those parables?" And what Jesus told the disciples is still true today; He said "Because they (others who were listening to Jesus teach) ARE NOT ready to understand TRUTH". It is the same with all of us. UNTIL we are ready to recieve,( But know this also, we do not HAVE to accept that urging of that Voice within us, we can turn our heads to it,) Truth,which that Voice within us will let us know that we are ready, we will not turn loose of what we have been taught for 2000 years. But now, there is a people who learned the basics of the Salvation message, and went through Pentecost, and learned the basics of that realm, and THEN begin to think; "there has GOT TO BE MORE, because I am not seeing any change in me or the rest of the world. And they began crying out for more of God's Truth. This is GROWTH taking place in a people.
At first, when we receive a new Word or understanding, we think "Oh no!! This is not what my pastor told me and I do not want to fall into false teaching or New Age Cult." But think of it, if it is to be a new understanding, it WILL NOT be like our pastor taught us, NOW it will be the Holy Spirit leading us into DEEPER understanding of the parables that we have had taught to us. NOW we are ready to receive the MEANINGS OF THE PARABLES! Let me give you an example:
In Genisis chapter one; it tells us of all the things that God created. What you will learn , is that each thing that God created in Chapter one was a SYMBOL of something else. We are leaving the parable of Genesis one and going on to God's anwer to the parable.
Look at Gen 1: 11, "And God said, Let the earth bring forth GRASS, the herb yeilding seed, and THE FRUIT TREE, yeilding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself upon the earth; and it was so."
Now, we know that here on earth, there is grass, and seeds and trees. We see them everyday, WITH OUR NATURAL EYES. But if you search the scriptures out, you will be shown what the grass, the seeds and the trees are referring to. (Ps 1:3, PS 90:5, Mark 8:24, IS 55:12, PS 96:12, PS 148:9, Ecc 2:5, Rev. 7:3, IS 61:3, Ezek 31:9) The bible explains itself, IF we allow the Spirit to lead us to these things. But, we must remember that the scripture tells us,
1 Corinthians 15:45-51, "And so it is written, the first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit. Howbeit that was NOT FIRST which is spiritual, but that which natural; and AFTERWARD that which is spiritual. The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven. As is earthy, such are they also that are earthy; and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly. And as WE have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavnly. Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the Kingdom of God; neither does corruption inheriT incorruption."
What these verses are saying is this; The way we have been taught, and the way we believe, is that WE ARE HUMAN BEINGS and are of the earthy. But, We WILL BECOME as the HEAVENLY, which as we know are Spirit . We have been taught and believe that we were human beings FIRST, and WILL become SPIRIT and HEAVENLY AFTERWARDS. Usually this is believed to take place AFTER we DIE and GO TO HEAVEN. But, my friend, this has been taught incorrectlly. The TRUTH is that we WERE FIRST SPIRIT BEINGS and BECAME AS HUMAN BEINGS. This incorrect understanding IS WHAT WE HAVE BEEN TAUGHT TO THINK. And what does Proverbs 23:7 and Matthew 12:34, and Proverbs 18:21 tell us? Please read and THINK about these scriptures. I am going to put them into everyday understanding: What they are saying is this: Whatever man (US) thinks (believes, REALLY believes in our heart,) that is what we appear to be; and believing whatever we believe, in our heart, that is what comes out of our mouth; and our words bring forth LIFE OR DEATH. When you listen to a person talk, you can tell by their words, if they have God's Life flowing through them. For instance; when all a person talks about is having sickness, or diseases, and how no one loves them, or how many NEEDS they have, what we are hearing is a person DENYING WHAT GOD SAYS ABOUT THAT PERSON! God tells ALL OF US that we have no needs; that we have His Fullness. Now I ask you, does God have a need? No He doesn't. Well, IF we believe what He tells us, that WE have no needs, who is speaking REAL TRUTH, that person doing the talking, or GOD? That person doing the talking is the FIRST MAN spoken of in 1Corinthians. The earthly man or the carnal man. Why? Because the person BELIEVES IN THEIR HEART THAT HE IS A CARNAL MAN, JUST A LOWLY HUMAN BEING! This is what the church has taught us for years. That we are a lowly creature, and can do NOTHING. And IF we don't have material things, then God is punishing us for some reason. Beloved, this is NOT GOD'S TRUTH, it is MAN"S THINKING and BEING.
Let's look at what God tells us, even today.
Genesis 1: 27, "And God created man in His Own IMage, in the Image Of GOD create He, him......" We will be coming back to this verse later, but for now I want us to look at what this verse says. MAN represents ALL OF MANKIND. And what does it say about that man? MANKIND IS IN THE IMAGE OF GOD. DOES GOD BELIEVE IN HIS HEART, THAT HE NEEDS ANYTHING? DOES GOD THINK WITH THE CARNAL MIND? DOES GOD BELIEVE THAT HE CAN DO NOTHING? DOES GOD BELIEVE THAT DISEASE AND SICKNESS AND DEATH, TOUCH HIM? The answer to these questions are, NO, NO, NO !! Now you might ask, "well I am not God, so all these things can happen to me". But do you want to know WHY these things can happen to you? It IS BECAUSE THIS IS WHAT YOU BELIEVE IN YOUR HEART!! THEN YOU SPEAK WHAT YOU BELIEVE. AND WHEN YOU SPEAK WORDS OPPOSITE OF WHAT GOD TELLS YOU, YOU ARE SPEAKING DEATH UPON YOURSELF!! I ask you to THINK ABOUT THIS. Didn't GOD SAY, "life and death are IN OUR WORDS? " Didn't GOD SAY "as a man BELIEVES IN HIS HEART< SO IS HE?" Didn't GOD SAY "out of what you believe in your heart, you speak?" This is why all these things come upon us. God isn't causing them, WE ARE!!! THIS IS THE ANSWERS THAT WE SHOULD BE HOLDING IN OUR HEARTS, IN OUR BELIEFS! TO QUESTIONS #2, 4, 9, 10, that I ask you at the beginning of this study. (as I said in the beginning, DO NOT feel embarassed or ashamed IF you don't believe this, you ARE LEARNING and it WILL CHANGE THE WAY YOU BELIEVE IN YOUR HEARTS AND AS YOU BELIEVE YOU WILL SEE A CHANGE IN YOUR LIFE AND IN YOUR BODY) And when you say, "I am not God...." , let me ask you, "who told you that you weren't? We will learn more about this later in the study.
Now let's go back to Genesis 1:27.
I will stop here and let you concentrate on what has been written in this study. We will continue the next part of this study, and in it we will go back and be looking at Gen. 1:27 in deeper depth.
