THE BRAIN AND THE MIND 3/10/10 part 1
There is so much, out there, about "mystical" stuff. And it really does SOUND mystical. But, I have always been a "down to earth" type of person. I hate to pick up something that I think I would like to read, and end up, every other word, having to look up the meaning of a word that is not, in every day life, used. I don't know if the writer wants folks to know just how many big words they know, or what. But, by the time you get through looking up the meaning of a word, you have lost your train of thought.
We have been hearing so much about Higher Consciousness, and I began wondering, "what exactly is Higher Consciousness?" I have tried many types of meditation and just could not get into it. A close friend of mine, that lives in Virginia Beach, told me one day while we were talking, "Linda, you meditate and don't even realize that you are meditating." I love it when he calls me, because I know that after we finish talking, I am going to receive from within, wonderful understanding and things that I usually end up seeking, searching out, and going within about. When we finished this particular conversation, I just sat, thinking about what he had said. Sure enough, things just began coming to me. I heard that Special Voice within say, "did you know that worry is a form of meditating?" That statement opened up much to me about meditation. So now, when you hear me say, "I was meditating", know that I was quietly thinking and listening. No rituals, no objects, no music to get me in the mood, just allowing my Mind to do what It does best, giving understanding in the way that I understand. We all have our methods. But, I think that sometimes we get caught up in the "mystical" way to do things.
For the last month or so, "the brian" has been popping up to me. Now, as most of you know, I am not a highly educated person; and studying was not my favorite thing to do, when I was in school. lol. So I went to the library and got some books regarding the brain. Speak about using a dictionary, wow, I sure did use one. But then as I lay in bed, just thinking, some things started coming to me that made me thin, "wow, where did that come from?". Then I realized where it came from and not only WHERE it came from, but also it was showing me things that we NEED to know. Indeed it was different from a lot of things that we have been taught; not only in school, but also in church.
It is kind of hard to imagine that we are related, in some way, to EVERYTHING. And we learn by comparing things that happened thousands of years ago, to things that is now coming forth, that we thought was future learning. It all comes together and shows a pattern of exactly how, and the certainty of, being a part of all things.
I want to talk about the brain and the Mind. They are NOT THE SAME THING. I will be wandering around, in this sharing, but maybe it will help some to see, the way I saw as I thought about these things.
One thing different about the brain and the Mind, is that the brain sees what goes on around us, here in this physical illusion. It sees a human being and THINKS that that human body IS US. It sees a head, two arms, two legs, two hands, two feet, two eyes, two ears. It sees double. The brain believes the thoughts that we allow in us; it believes what the eyes see. The brain can be and has been PROGRAMMED. The Mind sees God. The Mind has ONLY TRUTH. The brian THINKS. The Mind KNOWS. The brain has information---The Mind has knowledge and knowledge is wisdom. The brain was created to control the body. The Mind has been with us forever and will remain with us forever. The Mind has been with us ever since we were brought forth, out from within God/Elohim. Thinking or using the brain is all about SEEING something, in order to believe something. Knowledge is about NOT HAVING TO SEE something and still KNOW that that thing IS. THINKING is all about the physical; KNOWING is all about what we ARE, SPIRIT.
A dear lady friend emailed me and I'd like to share with you what she said:

How true that is. AT THE TOP OF THE HIGH PLACE! This High Place is the Mind. As we come to understand WHERE that High Place is, we realize that we MUST leave all religion behind and accept Truth that the Mind has, all the Truth. Higher Consciousness IS that High Place, The Mind. Although the Mind may have many points of conscious awareness, THERE IS ONLY ONE MIND.
Religion has taught us that we have TWO MINDS, the carnal mind, and the Mind of God. BUT, we must wait until we get to heaven to really use that Mind of God. Actually, religion has put us in the bondage that we have been exisiting in. In reality, we DO NOT HAVE A CARNAL MIND!! Now, I know that some will say, "well the bible talks of the carnal mind". But, as we well know, although MOST will not admit, the bible was written by MAN and MAN put in it what was best for their agenda. So much, of the original writting of the bible, was changed. I won't go into all of this, because I have done quite a few articles on the bible. When we find out that there are MANY errors in the bible, we are not forsaking God, we are learning to DEPEND ONLY ON HIM. He has no errors.
In the language of today's leading edge psychology, we would say that the mind is "transpersonal". The word "transpersonal" is a term invented to express, in a new way, the same ancient idea whose time has come once again. (Nothing is new under the sun". Thranspersonal means that the Mnd has a life beyond what appears in individual persons. The Mnd is not just what happens inside a person. It is, in reality, THE PERSON, and It is a reality of Itself.
The Mind is like the air that we breathe. does air exist just when it is in our lungs? No, of course, not. Does the Mind exist just when it is active in our brain? No, but that is what we usually think. We could say that I have my air and you have your air, but it occupies all different places. Some of it is flowing through my lungs, some through your lungs; air threads together all the plants, all the animals, as well as all boxes, bottles, homes and othe hollow containers. Air exists independently of whatever houses it; the Mind exists independently of those who use it. There is only one air and there is only ONE MIND.
I have often taught about "the carnal mind" and "the Mind of God". Thankfully, we all grow in understanding. As for the "dual mind", it exists ONLY IN THIS ILLUSION that we have existed in.
Are we not told, "you have the Mind of Christ?" Also, are we not told, "ALL have received the FULLNESS OF GOD?". Well, which are we going to believe, what MAN has taught us about "duality" or that "you have the Mind of Christ". I know, some will ask, "well why do we think as we do?" That is easy; it is because we have BELIEVED what man has told us, instead of what God has told us.
We keep WAITING for that Mind of God to come forth. Well, my dearly beloved, IT IS HERE. IT HAS ALWAYS BEEN HERE. We just have not believed it. Just as, we have always thought that these flesh bodies are us, when it is not, at all. We are SPIRIT BEINGS. These bodies, as I have said in almost every study, are simply vehicles. Let me ask you something. When you get into your car to go somewhere, do you become the car? No, of course not. Well it is the same with us. We, Spirit Beings, USE the body, we are NOT the body. If we were, when the body dies, that would be the end of us. But, aren't we told that we HAVE ETERNAL LIFE? It is time that we come to know that we cannot have it both ways; what man teaches and what the Mind tells us.
Let's look at it this way; the brain is physical. It can be seen, it can be touched, it can be programmed. We have all heard of "brain washing". Well that's what the brain consists of. Whatever we put in it, it believes. And it controls the body according to what we "wash the brain" with. ANYTHING physical is of the illusion. The brain controls the systems of the flesh body. There are 9 systems of the flesh body; 1) Nervous system 2) Reproductive system 3)Endocrine or glandular system 4)Respiratory system 5)Circulatory system 6)Excretory system 7) Digestive system 8) Muscular system 9)Skeletal system
The Brain controls all nine of these physcial systems. It is the brain that tells the lungs to keep on breathing; it is the brain that tells the circulatory system to keep the blood flowing; each system is controlled by the brain. But, ask yourself, what is it that programmed the brain to do these jobs? It was and is THE MIND.
There are nine planets (that up until now) we knew about; 1) Pluto (Although several years ago the number of planets in our Solar System was reduced to eight – an issue that has caused much heated debate and upset many people – for over seventy years, there were 9 planets in our Solar System. Many people still want to see Pluto restored to the status of a planet and not just because of sentimentality) Pluto is now called a "dwarf planet". See how people change things??
2) Mercury 3) Venus 4)Earth 5) Mars 6)Jupiter 7) Saturn 8) Uranus 9) Neptune
Now, you might ask, "what do the systems of the body and the planets have to do with the brain and the Mind?" Well, let me ask you this; if the brain is to control the body, what controls the planets? It is for sure that the brain did not bring the planets into being and it is not the brain that controls the planets, so that leaves the Mind.
Let's look at something that not only shows the difference in the brain and the Mind; but one is a Pattern, the Mind, and the other, the brain, is simply symbolism of the True Being that we are.
Some years ago, I did a study on the Tabernacle of Moses and saw such truth that it held, not only regarding the physical tabernacel, but of the physical brain. Bare in Mind, that it was God that gave Moses instructions on the building of the tabernacle. And as we know, God sees things differently than we see things. I am not going to go through all the teaching of the tabernacle, I just want to use the part that shows GodKnowing, and brain THINKING.
We must remember that what God created, IT IS STILL EXACTLY AS HE CREATED IT, TODAY. It HAS NOT CHANGED, it is OUR THINKING THAT CHANGED, to the point that we don't see it as God does. But it is the same, just as WE are the same as when Elohim brought us forth out from within Himself; the only thing that has changed about us, IS THE THINKING. We have left the KNOWING and join up with the THINKING.
