UNDERSTANDING THE BOOK OF REVELATION
PART 27
Revelation 21:22-23, "And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and Lambkin are the temple of it. And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did did lighten it, and the Lambkin is the thereof."
We are looking at the City, being described, as John saw it. And how to word this can be a little tricky, so I will try my best to say this, so that it can be understood.
There was NO TEMPLE in the City.
1Cor,6:19, "What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is IN YOU, which ye HAVE of (out from within) God, and ye are not your own?"
1Cor 3:16, "Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?"
In different realms of our walk BACK into Who we really are, we have THOUGHT that WE were the temple of God. And "as a man thinketh", so we were; UNTIL we were awakened to this Identity. Many today still think that they are the temple of God, instead being His BEING. In this temple that we THOUGHT we were, the Holy Ghost lived in this temple. And "as a man thinketh" so He did. (in our mind).
NOW, upon awakening, we see that THERE IS NO TEMPLE!! It was just a part of the dream we were living in. And upon awakening, we see NO TEMPLE. We see ONLY HIM/HER.
Notice, "the Lord God Almighty and the Lambkin ARE the temple of it (the city)."
HERE WE ARE SEEING THE FULFILLMENT OF I AM's PLAN! Think about it. This DOES NOT MEAN that there are TWO Who are the temple. God and US, or God and Jesus. In fact, this is showing us that JUST EXACTLY, as Jesus the man, WAS REALLY GOD ALL THE TIME JESUS WALKED THE EARTH!
1Tim.3:16, "And WITHOUT CONTROVERSY great is the mystery of godliness. GOD WAS MANIFEST ING THE FLESH....
If you read all of that verse, you see where GOD preached to the Gentiles; GOD did all that is mentioned, NOT JESUS. JESUS WAS GOD, in an earthly disquise. Just as we ARE. And as Jesus said, "when you see me, you see the Father.". Here in Revelation 21, what is being said is "when you see the Lambkin, you see the Father." So, it isn't two separate Beings in this City. It is ONE, I AM. And WHO is in the temple, in this City? EVERYONE and EVERYTHING. This is why John "saw no temple therein (in the City)." NO ONE is outside the temple to see a temple!! Each and everyone has or will awaken to the fact, THE TRUTH that they ARE ONE WITH HIM, so THEY ARE THE TEMPLE. As well as the City! I hope I have said this clearly.
Revelation 21:23, "And the city had no NEED of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it; for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lambkin is the light thereof."
Now, I know that I am treading on a lot of people's THINKING, BUT: almost EVERY writer that I have seen their writings have always said that when the "sun" is being spoken of, in scripture, that that word "sun" is symbolic of the man Jesus. IF that is their belief, then they cannot change the symbolism HERE IN REVELATION. AND we all know that the "moon" is symbolic of the "reflection of the sun". NOW, think of this scripture:
2Cor. 5:16, "Wherefore HENCEFORTH (or from now on) know we no man after the flesh: YES, THOUGH WE HAVE KNOWN CHRIST AFTER THE FLESH, YET nowhenceforth KNOW WE HIM NO MORE."
Who is being talked about here is the CHRIST that we have known as the flesh man, Jesus. In the previous verse, it is TALKING ABOUT THE MAN JESUS. But, the flesh man Jesus, was a flesh body that GOD STEPPED INTO, just as He did US. It is NOT DOING AWAY WITH ALL THAT JESUS ACCOMPLISHED, ALL WAS DONE. But, after it was finished, Jesus (who was really God in a flesh body) returned to His position (for lack of a better word) of FATHERHOOD. Read 1Tim. 3:16, and then read John 17:4-5 and you will see God coming (appearing) in the flesh, as Jesus, and then RETURNING (just as we are) to Fatherhood. God HAD to have a flesh body to die on the cross, because GOD COULD NOT AND CAN NOT DIE, so He took on the form of the flesh man Jesus. Just as we are, God is a Spirit. Spirit cannot be seen (unless we are senitive enough to see into the invisible realm). God wanted, PLANNED for mankind (in this fallen state of being) to SEE HOW MUCH HE LOVED US and wanted to awaken us from the fallen state. He knew that IF He remained in the form of the flesh man Jesus, WE WOULD NOT HAVE HIM IN US TO AWAKEN US. So He sacrificed that flesh form that He appeared as, so that we all could be awakened, upon our RESURRECTION WITH HIM, as He went back (although He never really left) to Fatherhood. And just as He never really left Fatherhood, WE NEVER WERE SEPARATED FROM HIM, except in our fallen THINKING. The Lambkin and God were ONE. What we are reading is JOHN'S UNDERSTANDING AND SPEAKING OF WHAT HE SAW IN THIS VISION THAT HE WAS BEING SHOWN.
The word CHRIST, IS NOT JESUS. CHrist was as much in the man Jesus as He is in us. Christ is ANOINTING. The ANOINTING is GOD'S LIFE FLOWING THROUGH US, JUST AS IT DID JESUS. This is why Jesus said, "when you see Me, you see the Father". He was Father in the disquise as a man; and He was Christ, because it was GOD'S LIFE FLOWING THROUGH HIM JUST AS IT IS US. There is ONLY ONE BEING, and that IS GOD. That's Who we are in forms that God is taking to show HIMSELF. Take this within, and let the Spirit witness the Truth of this to you.
The rest of this chapter is just describing the City. Also, chapter 22 is describing the city. That means it is describing YOU AND ME.
I will be doing one more part to this series. And I call forth understanding to all of us, to open up within us, and cause us to see the Truth of this Book. Cause us to see the Truth of US.
