The Changing of the Body part 5
So far, in this study, we have:
1. Introduction
2. My Arm
3. Jesus, Part man , part God?
4. Do we have to see physical Death?
In this part, we are going to look at our Pattern, Jesus. In this part we,
also, want to look at our words and the power of them. There's a lot of
Word, going around, about WHERE the body of the manifested Sons of God will
be, once the manifestation is complete. But, I think that folks are putting
the cart before the horse. We need to learn ABOUT the body, it's being
changed, and how this comes about, BEFORE we start getting concerned about
WHERE that body is going to be, once it is changed.
So, let's start with our Father, Jesus. This scripture is, when JESUS
appeared in the upper room, after His resurrection.
Luke 24:36-44, "And as they thus spake, Jesus himself stood in the
midst of them, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you. But they were
terrified and affrighted, and supposed that they had seen a spirit. And he
said unto them, Why are ye troubled? And why do thoughts arise in your
hearts? Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself; handle me, and
see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have. And when he
had thus spoken, he shewed them his hands and his feet. And while they yet
believed not for joy, and wondered, he said unto them, Have ye here any
meat? And they gave him a piece of a broiled fish, and of an honeycomb. And
he took it, and did eat before them. And he said unto them, These are the
words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must
be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets
and in the psalms, concerning me."
Now, Jesus had just walked through the wall and the disciples there, and
Jesus' own mother, were afraid. They all thought that they had seen a ghost!
Because, what man could walk through a wall? It had to be a ghost! UNTIL
JESUS SPOKE. Then they knew that this was not a ghost!
One thing that I want to point out, here, is this, "all things must be
fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses (which Jesus was STILL
under WHEN He died) and in the prophets and in the psalms, concerning
me." Jesus, had emptied Himself of ALL DEITY, when He (as God)
manifested in the person of Jesus Christ. (Phil. 2:6-8, 1Tim 3:16) I think
of it as, He lost all memory, of being God. (Everyone can look at it as the
Spirit shows them.) And we can see that Jesus, as a young child, had
started to study the OT. (Luke 2:41-47), and He learned. (Heb 5:8) Jesus
began realizing who HE WAS THROUGH THE SCRIPTURES. He was NOT aware that
He was the Son of God UNTIL He heard those Words spoken, at His
baptism . "This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased."
A Re-Happening is taking place with us NOW. Through the scripture, we are
learning who we are, and the Holy Spirit of our Father, Jesus, is witnessing
it to our Spirit!! Hallelujah!!
Now, in order to understand that this (Jesus and God) were not two separate
people, we need to look very closely to what the Word says, NOT WHAT WE'VE
BEEN TAUGHT. No where does it say, that Jesus HEARD GOD SPEAK THESE WORDS!
The Word says, "He heard a voice from heaven" speak the words, "This is my
beloved Son". (Mt 3:13-17, Mt 17:5, Mark 1:11, Mark 9:7, Luke 3:22, Luke
9:35, 2 Peter 1:17 John 12:28) EACH verse tells us, that what was heard,
was A VOICE FROM HEAVEN.
We've had the idea, that JESUS walked the earth in a literal , flesh body;
and that Father God, stayed up in the "heaven", up in the sky. But folks,
the Word does not say this! What we need to remember is that HEAVEN is NOT
up in the sky!! Heaven is a state of being. A state of pureness. A place of
being in the presence of God!!! That is heaven.
We KNOW that as Jesus walked the earth, His Head (mind) was in the
heavenlies. When Jesus heard this voice from heaven, it simply tells us that
HIS REMEMBRANCE of who He was, came back to Him. We have made this so
complicated, for the sake of "religion". Jesus was a simple man, and
that's how we need to take His Word, with the simplicity of a child, with
understanding given by the Holy Spirit. Man's writings, with a thousand
words, where a few words could do the job, has only confused people. For the
sake of sounding "religiously intellectual". It's sad. But, Father is
revealing all, NOW!! There was not two people talking to each other. It
was GOD, after emptying Himself of all deity, REMEMBERING WHO HE WAS!! He
was LAYING A PATTERN for man to walk into. And man could not have seen Jesus
as a Pattern, IF He had been part God and part man!! So, God made it a JUST
AND FAIR PATTERN that man could follow! Hallelujah!!
Ok. Now let's look at JESUS' body. We've already seen that when Father
manifested in the natural, that He manifested into a FLESH AND BLOOD AND
BONES, body. Jesus' body was just like ours. It hurt when wounded, it bled
when cut, it grew tired, all of the same things that our body does. I hope
that there is no question about this. Jesus was flesh! But, JESUS' body
changed!! Hallelujah!! And HE IS OUR PATTERN, so our body must change
too!!
Keep
in mind: I am not talking about those who DO NOT KNOW WHO THEY ARE!!!!!
Their bodies will not change UNTIL after they see death and they are called
back into that glorious body!!! I am speaking to those who KNOW WHO THEY
ARE, CHRIST, GOD'S ANOINTED ONE, a member in particular of the many membered
Body of Christ!!! Throughout this study, this is who I am speaking about,
when I say US. I am not speaking about those who are STILL WAITING for
Father to make us His Christ, a work that He has FINISHED, and His Word
tells us this.
So, with that said , let's go on.
Do we have to die for our body to change , like JESUS' body changed? No!
1Cor 15:45-49, "And so it is written, the first man Adam was made a
living soul: the last Adam was made a quickening spirit. Howbeit that was
not first which IS spiritual, but that which IS natural; and
afterward that which IS spiritual. The first man IS of the
earth, earthy; the second man IS the Lord from heaven. As IS
the earthy, such are they also that ARE earthy; and as IS the
heavenly, such ARE they also that ARE heavenly. And AS WE
HAVE borne the image of the earthy, we SHALL also bear the image
of the heavenly.
First, did you notice how this IS ALL PRESENT TENSE? There is only one
place that speaks of the future, "SHALL". And that was in Paul's day. And
it is definite!! It doesn't say, that we MIGHT bear the image of the
heavenly, it says we SHALL!! Most think that this is when they die and go
to heaven. But, there is a people that will see this heavenly CHANGE
without seeing a physical death!! Praise His Holy name!!
We will look further into this Word , here in 1 Cor. in a bit, but let's go
on and look at Jesus' bodily change.
As we saw in Luke 24, that Jesus said to those in the upper room, that He
had "flesh and bones". He did not say "blood", because He had poured out
His Blood, at the crucifixion. But, He did have flesh and bones when He
walked through the wall!! How can this be? Let's look at another
scripture.
We're going to be looking at PSALM 22. This is referring to the crucifixion
of Jesus. And boy, does it give revelation!! Father is SO GOOD!!! It would
do good, that you read all of this chapter, but I will be touching on only a
few verses.
PS 22:14-17, "I am poured out like water, and all my bones are out of
joint: my heart is like wax; it is melted in the midst of my bowels. My
strength is dried up like a potsherd: and my tongue cleaveth to my jaws; and
thou hast brought me into the dust of death. For dogs have compassed me: the
assembly of the wicked have inclosed me: they pierced my hands and my feet."
This is the agony that our Precious Saviour went through, that we might be
AS HE IS IN THIS PRESENT WORLD! Bless His Heart!! As I think of all that He
suffered in order to make possible, for us, to be WHO HE tells us that we
are, my heart, too, melts like wax in the midst of my bowels!! I praise Him,
and I give all glory to HIM!! But, the next verse gives us such a great
revelation, IF we allow the Holy Spirit to give us understanding.
PS 22:17, "I may tell my bones, ..."
Awesome!!!!! HE SPOKE TO HIS BONES!!! His bones were out of joint on the
cross! And yet, when He resurrected, HE walked through a wall!!
