What and  WHO ARE WE---Genesis   part 1

In order to understand the truth of who we are, we must understand the creation of God.

In Genesis , chapter 1, we see that God created.
In Genesis , chapter 2, we see that God formed.

There is a great difference in creating and forming.

To create , something is made, brought into being, from no material, already in existence. It did not exist  in any form until it was made.

To form , something that IS in existence is molded. It (already existing) is taken and shaped, molded, changed into the desired shape or state of being.

In Genesis 1, God created:
  1) waters                       6) creatures of water habitation
  2) firmament                  7) fowls of the heavens
  3) grass                        8) living creatures, (animals, insects, snakes etc)
  4) herb seed                  9) man
  5) fruit tree

Now, what we have to understand ,is that , all these things were not created, when God created the heaven and the earth, that is spoken of in Gen. 1:1

Gen 1:1, "In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth."

The first thing that I want to bring your attention to , is the word "beginning".  When taken back to the original language that the Old Testament was written in, which is Hebrew and Chaledean, the word "beginning" was PLURAL---BEGINNINGS.

Geneses, chapter 1.

We see in Verse 1, , in the original writing of the Book of Genesis, verse one reads:

"In the beginnings, God created the heaven and the earth."

Now, between verse 1 and verse 2, we don't know how many thousands or maybe millions of years passed. But, something happened in that space of time, to the earth that God first created.

Duet 32:4, "....His work is perfect....."

This verse makes us to know that everything that God created, He created in a perfect state of being. Nothing that God created had anything wrong with it. So, by this scripture, we know that the earth that God created in verse 1, was perfect when He created it. But, let's look at verse 2.

We need to know, that in that culture, or in Jesus' day and culture, the language that was spoken was not like the King's English in the King James Bible. When translated into English, the translators put the original words, in words that they thought would make reading of the Bible easier to understand. By doing so, meanings of words were changed, if not lost all together.  So, we have to take each word in the Bible, back to the original language that it was written in, to get the correct meaning of words and thoughts. And now, God is giving understanding, as He promised in (Col 1:26, Rom 16:25, 1Cor 2:7) to help us.  The only Bible that can be used to do this, is the King James Bible, unless, you happen to be a student of the Hebrew, Chaledean, and Greek language.  So, I have done this for the understanding of verse 2. This ALONE will show you the importance of studying out words.

Now, remember that this verse is speaking about the earth that God created in verse 1.

Gen. 1:2, "And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep.  And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters."

Now, below are definitions of the original meaning of the words in  verse 2.

(WITHOUT)
In Strong's Concordance the numbers for the words "without" and the word "form" is H8414 .
In the Hebrew language these words are pronounced:  TO'-HOO.

The words originated from an unused root word,  meaning:   to lie waste; a desolation (of surface), that is,
desert; figuratively a worthless thing; adverbially, in vain:- confusion, empty
place, without form, nothing, (thing of) nought, vain, vanity, waste, wilderness

(VOID)
The Hebrew word for "void" is number H922.
This word, "void" is pronounced :  bo-hoo

This word "void" originated from an unused root word, meaning:  to be empty; a vacuity, that is, (superficially) , an indistinguishable ruin:-emptiness, void.

Now, remember that Duet 32: 4, told us that all that God's work is perfect. So, something changed , from when God first created this earth, being talked about, to the time of verse 2.

Ok, let's go on to definitions of the other words , here in verse 2

(DARKNESS)
Let's look at the word "darkness" . The Hebrew word for "darkness" is number H2822.

violent) exhalation; figuratively life, anger, insubstantiality; by extension a
region of the sky; by resemblance spirit, but only of a rational being (including

(WATERS) H4325
mah'-yim
Dual of a primitive noun (but used in a singular sense); water; figuratively
juice; by euphemism urine, semen:- + piss, wasting, water (-ing, [-course, -

Now, by knowing the way this 2nd verse was written in the original writing, and the way MAN translated it, we see with a whole new light, that something happened.  These original words tell us that, that perfect earth that God created in verse 1, was totally in ruin, in chaos, and not at all in the state of being that it was in when it was first created.  And God was not happy, He was angry!!  He brooded over that earth and the state of being it had become.  It was total darkness, it was a "nothingness".

We do not know for sure who or what inhabited that first earth, or what they did to cause it to become a darkened ruin.  It was so bad that the definition of "God moved upon the face of the "waters", in the original writing the "waters",   is putrid!!   The waters had become: literally. figuratively juice; by euphemism urine, semen:- + piss, wasting, water.

That's bad!!!  This earth had become destroyed. Their are different opinions about the Pre-Adamic earth and its inhabitants, but I won't try to go into it, because I don't know , with a certainty.  To me, it isn't important , interesting yes, important No! What IS important is what happened afterwards and what IS happening NOW.!

Hebrew 10:9, "Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. He taketh away the first , that he may establish the second."  (this applies to everything)

And that's just what Father did in verse 1:3-2:3. (read all of these verses well). He created a new earth and all that was on it, described in these verses.

I'm not going into all of the creating that is done in Chapter 1, but, I want to show you what this world was in Chapter 1. What I want to show you is that EVERYTHING that was created in Chapter 1, was a SPIRITUAL STATE OF BEING. It was all in SPIRIT FORM.

The Bible tells us that there are 2 realms or states of being, (1) the natural or earthern realm, and ( 2) the spiritual realm. Both of these realms are states of being.

1Corinthians 15:46. "Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural: and afterward that which is spiritual."

Now this doesn't mean that the natural or earthen realm or state of being came first. We are NOW of the earth, so we see the natural first, and then we see the spiritual. (but that is changing). Praise God. In the beginning of everything, it was in the spiritual realm, because NOTHING existed BEFORE the Spirit of God.

We want to allow the Word of God to show us that Chapter 1 of Genesis is a spiritual state of being. And, I want to say , here, that although everything that was created in a spirit form, here in Chapter 1, EVERYTHING represents something in the natural realm.  I won't go into what each thing represents, because the GOAL of this study is to show us about  US. Maybe later I'll show what each thing that was created, represents in the natural or earthen realm. This study is  to show WHAT we really are, what Galatians 2:20 tells us that we are. (This is PRESENT TENSE, not will be, not in the future!)

Galatians 2:20, " I am crucified with Christ (in the original writing of this verse , the word, Jesus is in the place of the word "Christ". It was JESUS that we were crucified with-(Rom 6:6).nevertheless I LIVE; (us) yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: (notice it does not say JESUS lives in me, it says CHRIST. we have learned what the word Christ, means. But to bring to remembrance, it means: anointing, anointed one, anointing is GOD'S LIFE. Jesus' name wasn't Christ, that was a description of who He was, He was Jesus, the Christ of God. John 1:41, Mt 16:16, Mrk 8:29, Luke 2:26. )and the life which I now live (now take notice, who is I? that is living? CHRIST, God's anointed one , US,) in the flesh I live BY THE FAITH of (of in the Greek is , ek. It means, "out from within",  so we live as God's Christ by the faith out from within )the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.  We can only believe we are God's Christ because of the faith that JESUS HAD IN WHAT HIS ACCOMPLISHMENTS ON THE CROSS WOULD GIVE US ACCESS TO. If God's Word says this is who we are, HE DOES NOT LIE. It must be that WE are seeing wrong.  I know to most, when they read this scripture, they haven't gotten the understanding , so with no understanding, there is no truth at all to them!  Or they look for this to "sometimes in the future, to be true". But, look at that verse again, and make sure you see the PRESENT TENSE of those words. When there is no understanding, It is best to say "I am not seeing this". Because THEN will they break down and cry out to Father, "Father , this Word does not apply to me!  I've tried and tried and I can't even come close to what this Word tells me about myself!!  PLEASE FATHER give me understanding to this."  And He will !!   DON'T EVER say it is not true!!  You will be calling God a liar!!  Just say you don't understand it. It is true , regardless of what you understand, or what you may be "LOOKING AT in yourself".

This word "christ", is not a person. It is God's Life.  His ANOINTING. That's what the word "christ" means in the original writing of the Bible. It is what made possible, all that Jesus did. It is what makes possible, for US to be as Jesus was. God gave us the same anointing that He gave Jesus. There is only ONE anointing. When God placed His Anointing within us, He placed His Life in us. His Life in us, is His Anointing, and anointing is the definition of the word "christ".  So, if He made us , HIS LIFE, then we, like Jesus, are His anointed ones. JUST AS JESUS IS OUR PATTERN, He was God's anointed, so are we. So, when the scripture says, "IT IS CHRIST WHO LIVES, NOT I", what it is saying is "It is God's Life, that is living in this body of flesh, not I, not Linda".   It is nothing that we can take credit for, HE gets all the glory, for without JESUS dying on the Cross, God could not live His Life through us. God is Spirit(John 4:24), and God's Spirit did not and could not live in us, without JESUS dieting to make this possible.

If we get the understanding of the first 2 Chapters of Genesis, and the 1st Chapter of the Book of Revelation; then we will learn to FOCUS on the teachings in between these 2 Books.  Because, actually, the Book of Revelation is just the ENDING OF THE BOOK GENESIS, with all things finished. .  Let's go back to Genesis.

to be continued.
