HOME PAGEGenesis Part 1Genesis Part 2Genesis Part 3Genesis Part 4Genesis Part 5Genesis Part 6Genesis Part 7Genesis Part 8

As I previously said, it is VITAL for us to understand the first several chapters of the Book of Genesis.  We learn from all  of the bible, but, in order to understand who and what we are, we must understand this book.  Genesis is the foundation for the entire bible.  We find the created being of man, in Genesis and God's finished, completed work of man in the Book of Revelation.  EVERYTHING in the Book of Genesis, we find in it's completed form and being, in the Book of Revelation.  We find the purpose of God started in Genesis and completed in the Book of Revelation.  We are being awakened to all of this work of God.

We will be looking at everything that was created in chapter one, as we go through this study. So far, we saw that "the earth" that was created in Gen. 1:1, is not the earth that we now live in, today. That earth (Gen.1:1) ended in darkness and chaos.

We were looking at "the man" , Adam . I made the statement that it is my belief that Adam and Eve were not  one individual man and 1 individual woman. So, I want to continue with why I believe that Adam is/was a many membered body of people.

We saw that "the man" (Gen. 1:26) was created in the image of God. We are told in (John 4:24) that God is a Spirit. And that "the man" was created out of the very substance of God, which would make "the man" a Spirit being. And we saw in "Gen. 2:1)  "that the heavens and the earth were FINISHED, (finished=brought to perfection), and at that time (Gen.2:5) that there was "no man to till the ground." "The man" was still in Spirit form.

Now, let's look a little further at "the man".  So far, we've seen the order of God in these verses.

1. Gen. 1:26
2. Gen. 2:1
3. Gen. 2:5
4. Gen.  2:7
5. Gen.  2:8
6. Gen.  2:9
7. Gen.  2:15

Gen. 1:27, "So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them."20

OK, God created "the man", male and female.  Does this mean that "the man" was half man and half woman?  No.  What we have to keep in mind is that, "the man" was in the form of a spirit being.   If you search out medical facts, you'll find that when we were conceived and was in our mother's womb, we had both sexes, which made us neither male or female, and at the same time, made us both, male and female.  As we formed in the womb, one sex became dominant, and determined the sex we would live as.

Let's look at this "male and female" thing.  Now, in the natural, we know the difference in male and female.  But, we see that "the man" was created in the image of God, and the natural mind cannot comprehend the things of the Spirit.

Gen. 1:26-27, "And God said, Let us make man in our image; after our likeness:, (27) so God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him: male and female created he them."

We've been taught that Eve is our mother. But, I tell you, that God is our Father and our Mother. We've been taught that Eve wasn't even around when God created what was created in chapter one. But, when God created "the man" , Eve was within "the man."   Look again, at (Gen. 1:27). Who was in the image of God?

Gen. 1:27, "So God created MAN in his own image....male AND female created he THEM."

Gen. 1"28, "God blessed THEM..."

Let's move over to chapter 3.

Gen. 3:22-24, " And the Lord God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever:  Therefore the Lord God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from whence he was taken.  So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden, Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life."

Now, let me ask a question.  How many people does the written Word of God tell us was driven out of the Garden of Eden?  ONE PERSON!  "THE MAN"!  ADAM!   And yet, look at the very next statement:

Gen. 4:1, "And Adam knew his wife; and she conceived..."

We've been taught that both, the one individual man AND the one individual woman  was driven out of the garden.  So, let's look at "the woman, Eve".

Gen. 3:20, "And Adam called his wife's name Eve; because she was the mother of  all living."

When translated, the King James said, "MOTHER of all living..", but, in the original writing, the word "mother" means:  "resist sin".  In the Hebrew, one definition of this word "mother" is:  mother of the way, a parting of the road, probably, a parting of the source and head of the way",  Also, it means: "generally to any ancestress".  As we all know, Eve DID part from the road that Adam started out on. Eve parted from "the head", her head, Adam.

Notice, when God "formed" the man and placed him in the garden, the woman was not yet formed.

Gen. 2:7, 15, "And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul"  (15) And the Lord God took the man and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it."

Even though, the female had been created (Gen.1:27), she wasn't formed when Adam was formed.  And notice WHO it was, that God told, "do not eat of the tree of knowledge of good and evil",  it was "the man".  And later on, we'll see that both, the man and the woman suffered the consequence of disobeying God. We've been taught that this was the first sin, and this is what caused a separation between mankind and God. But,  I want you to keep this thought in mind. IS GOD ALL KNOWING?  Of course HE IS.  Can we do ANYTHING that God does not allow?  No, we cannot.  Did God plan our LEARNING EXPERIENCE?  Yes, He definitely did!
Did God EVER plan for us to be separated from Him?  No, He did not!  In fact, He planned and brought into being, "the slaying of the Lamb, BEFORE the foundation of the world". He provided the ATONEMENT , BEFORE MAN EVER "FELL"!!

Gen. 2:18, 21-25, "And the Lord God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him..   (21-25), And the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof;  And the rib, which the Lord God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man.  And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of man.  Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife; and they shall be one flesh.  And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed."

Who was doing this, bringing forth of the woman?  God was. Whose plan was this, "a man shall leave his father and his mother and cleave unto his wife"?  It was God's. God planned ALL that Adam would do. You see, "the man" without "the woman" , in God's image , is not complete.

Rom. 8:20, "For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope (21)Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God."

You see, God planned all that Adam/mankind would do, and He also, made provision for all that Adam/mankind would do, by having "the Lamb slain BEFORE the foundation of the world!   Bless His Holy Name!!  Thank You Father!!

Now, before Eve was brought forth, "God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam".  What does this "sleep" mean?

Gen.15:12, " And when the fowls came down upon the carcasses, Abram drove them  away. (12) And when the sun was going down, a deep sleep fell upon Abram; and , lo, an horror of great darkness fell upon him."

We see that "sleep" is associated with "darkness".  We've been taught that "darkness" means, sin, going against God, and every nasty, vile thing that we can think of, this is what darkness means.  BUT my friends, darkness simply means, no light !!  No understanding of Truth!!  And as the Holy Spirit will/is showing us, DARKNESS WAS /IS PART OF GOD"S PLAN FOR US!!

PS 139:12, "Yea, the darkness hideth not from thee; but the night shineth as the day: the darkness and the light are both alike to thee."

MT 5:45, "That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust."

IS 45:7, "I form the light, and create darkness; I make peace, and create evil:  I the Lord do all these things."

Before we finish up with Eve, "the woman", let me say this, regarding "darkness".  Darkness is something that God had/has planned for each and every person ever created.  We have all walked in darkness. This is part of our learning process, or being awakened. Some are still in this part of God's plan.  But, it is time, as we are ordained by God, to come out of the thinking about darkness and look at it through the finished work of God.

IS 45:8, "Drop down, ye heavens, from above, and let the skies pour down righteousness: let the earth (us, His vessels) open, and let them (our heavens from above) bring forth salvation (the 3 fold salvation, spirit, soul and body) , and let righteousness (our righteousness, as His Sons, because of His righteousness given to us) spring up TOGETHER; I the Lord have created it (His finished work).

And this is God's finished work:

IS 60:1, " Arise, shine; for thy LIGHT IS come; and the glory of the Lord IS risen upon thee."

We are to see every person, whether a christian or not , as they were created, (Gen 1:26), in our Father's image. They HAVE known their Father and will again! We must know that EVERY person is EXACTLY where Father would have them to be, in their learning process. We must see them as Father sees them. (Col 2:20, Gal 3:28)  When we look at each other in ANY way, other than God sees them, as HIS SON, then we are striving with God.

IS 45:9-13, " Woe unto him that striveth with his Maker! Let the potsherd strive with the potsherds of the earth. Shall the clay say to him that fashioneth it, What makest thou? or thy work, He hath no hands? Woe unto him that saith unto his father, What begettest thou? or to the woman, what hast thou brought forth?  Thus saith the Lord, the Holy One of Israel and his Maker, Ask me of things to come concerning my sons, and concerning the work of my hands command ye me. I have made the earth, and created man upon it: I, even my hands have stretched out the heavens and all their host have I commanded.  I have raised him up in righteousness, and I will direct ALL HIS WAYS: he shall build  my city, and he shall let go my captives, not for price nor reward, saith the Lord of hosts."

Darkness is as much a part of God's plan, as Light is!!  (PS 139:12, MT 5:45).  Light and darkness  are the same to God.  He does not see good and evil in Light and Darkness.  He sees His Plan being fulfilled!  And we must see as Father. We must stop doing what we did in the garden. We must NO LONGER eat of the tree of knowledge of good and evil. Why?  BECAUSE WE ARE THE TREE OF LIFE AND WE WILL BRING HEALING TO THE NATIONS!!  THUS SAITH THE LORD! AMEN AND AMEN.
Our heavens are opened and we will rain on the world.

So, let's get back to Eve.  Notice, that in Gen. 2:21, that this sleep or darkness that came upon Adam, did not happen UNTIL Eve, or "the woman", the soul of Adam, was being brought forth.  Also, notice that the "rib", which Eve was built of, came out of Adam, "the man".  This statement, in itself, should make us to know that Eve was not a literal woman.  Nor was the rib, a literal rib.

Rib, in the Hebrew language, is defined as :  a side (of a person); a chamber.  A side of a person. The rib, or the chamber, or "the woman", was Adam's soul, being awakened to learn. The side of Adam that could be and was tempted by the woman and the serpent! (which we'll get into later on in the study.)

Now, Adam had become Spirit AND soul. A two part spirit being. But was shortly to become a 3 part being; spirit, soul and body. Adam was a son of God . (Luke 3:38)
Adam was mankind. A many membered body. Eve is the soul of mankind, that IS being saved. And she is having the dust of the ground , brushed away. Hallelujah!!
