Part 5
Adam
is actually all of mankind and that includes us ladies too. Adam was male and
female. Notice that it didn't say that Adam was a woman and a man, but male and
female. And we must remember, here, that we are speaking of the spiritual makeup
on mankind. Adam was a spirit being, when created. At this time, all that Adam
knew, was God. His surroundings, the Garden, is simply a state of being that he
was in. He was in the complete presence of God, and all that he knew was God and
His Goodness.
After Adam was formed, this soul side of him (Eve) was awakened. The soul of
Adam is where he was tempted, as the Spirit of God, which we are the very
substance of, cannot be tempted. The woman, which Adam called her, not God,
(Gen 2:23) came from within Adam. And in order for the woman (soul) to be
awakened, a darkness had to fall upon Adam.
Now what I want us to see here and to keep the understanding of, is this; just
as it was with Job, it's was GOD was brought forth the darkness on Adam.
JOB 2:1-3, "Again there was a day when the sons of God came to present
themselves before the Lord, and Satan came also among them to present
himself before the Lord. And the LORD said unto Satan, From whence comest
thou? And Satan answered the Lord and said, From going to and fro in the
earth , and walking up and down in it. And the LORD said
unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job...."
The darkness that God caused to fall upon Adam, which was the
bringing forth of the carnal mind that GOD had placed in Adam, was God's plan.
Just as it was God's plan for Satan to "consider" Job. What we MUST understand
is that NOTHING can come upon mankind that God doesn't allow. Darkness, evil,
the whole nine yards.
Mankind was to leave that state of being that he was created in, and drop down
to this carnal, natural state of being that we are in now, for a purpose. To
learn. To learn, discern and take dominion. To see and understand that God is
truly ALL IN ALL and is being seen through mankind.
We saw, in the last part of this study, that ONLY Adam was forced out of the
Garden. And he was forced out BY GOD!! (Rom 8:20). Now, we can do what
so many others have done, and say "well it meant Eve too". But then we
would be doing exactly what Rev 22 tells us NOT to do , "do not ADD TO or take
away from the Word". The Word says (Gen 3:23-24) the man was forced out
of the Garden, it does not even mention the woman. Let's go on.
Adam, when he allowed the woman (his soul, or his carnal way of thinking) to
tell him about the "apple", it is simply showing us WHEN Adam began
thinking with the carnal mind.
Throughout this study, the ONE THING that we are to remember, is that GOD
planned all of this. So that mankind could become as God is, all knowing, by
using the God given discernment, to rely on the Spirit to continuously lead us,
and that we take dominion of all things, because it is HIS LIFE that is being
lived through us. And God, knowing ALL that man would do, on this journey of
returning to Him, exactly like Him, provided for this journey. He knew every
experience that man would experience and He provided for every experience, by "the
Lamb slain BEFORE the foundation of the world!! The ATONEMENT was already
in place BEFORE God created us.
Listen, our Father is LOVE. Would a dad take his son into a store and tell the
son, "Go explore, learn about the toys"? And just leave that son there, alone,
responsible for all that he does? NO!! He wouldn't. There would come a time
when the dad would take the son by the hand and say, "come on, son, it's time to
go home". And, the dad would know that while the son explored the store, there
would be things that the dad would have to pay for , to cover any damage that
the son may have done. So, when the dad took the son into the store and allowed
him to explore all that was in the store, he (the dad) would have already
told the store owner, "I'll be responsible for the cost of what my son
does!!" It's the same with us. Our Father is the One who brought us into this
"store" (the carnal, natural world) and He had ALREADY PROVIDED THE COST for
what we would do!! He had already became the Son, died as the Son and paid
the price for our actions!! And He did all of this BEFORE WE FELL INTO THIS
CONDITION!! PRAISE HIS HOLY NAME!! When we "fell", we fell right into the
Atonement! This PRICE that He paid manifested in the natural earth 2000 yrs
ago. That doesn't mean that it had not been provided BEFORE the manifestation
of it, though! His Word tells us this truth. (Rev 13:8) Either we believe
His Word or we don't. We have never been separated from God, ONLY our thinking
has (which we'll get into later). (Prov 23:7)
After Adam left the Garden, or that state of being of being in God's Presence,
being FORCED OUT BY GOD (Gen 3:23-24), this is the beginning of
mankind on earth, reproducing after THE CARNAL MIND!! Not out of the substance
that mankind was created from, God's very own SPIRIT.
Let's look , for a little bit , at man and Jesus.
1 Tim 3:16, " And without controversy GREAT IS THE MYSTERY of godliness:
God manifested in the flesh: justified in the Spirit, seen of
angels PREACHED UNTO THE GENTILES, believed on in the world,
received up into glory."
Now, this IS GOD being spoken of here. GOD PREACHED UNTO THE GENTILES!
God came in flesh as the man we know as JESUS. But, let's look at what GOD did.
Phil 2:5-8, The Living Bible. "Your attitude should be the kind that was shown
us by Jesus Christ, who though he was God DID NOT demand and cling
to his rights AS GOD, but LAID ASIDE HIS MIGHTY POWER AND GLORY taking
the DISGUISE of a slave and becoming like men. AND HE HUMBLED HIMSELF..."
God laid aside all His power and glory!! You could look at it as , for while He
was on earth, He FORGOT BEING THE ALL POWERFUL GOD! We know that God doesn't
forget anything, but, this is a simple way to see it. Can you imagine humbling
yourself to go from being God ALMIGHTY, to becoming a moral man? I don't think
any of us can imagine the humbleness that that took! Glory to You Father!!
Then what does He do? He learns!
Heb 5:8, "Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he
suffered."
And then what did He do?
John 17:4-5, "I have glorified thee on the earth; I have finished the work
which thou gavest me to do. AND NOW, O Father, glorify thou me
with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee BEFORE the world was!!"
He returned to being God, our Father. Now, let's look at what Adam or mankind
is doing.
1) Mankind was a Spirit being, created out of the very substance of God. (Gen
1:26)
2) We are REGAINING the glory that was laid aside, when we were in His
Presence. (Gal 2:20)
3) We are learning. (Rom 12:2)
4) We are RETURNING to who and where we were, in the beginning. (Prov
23:7)
See the pattern, here? We are doing the same thing that our Pattern did!
Hallelujah!! Father is bringing us back to be within Him and Him within us. We
truly ARE ONE WITH OUR FATHER. And remember that "deep sleep" that God caused
to "fall" upon Adam, in Gen 2:21? Well, we're awakening from that darkness,
that dream that we've been dreaming that seems so REAL , because we can touch,
see, hear, and smell it. We are coming out of that illusion of being something
that we're not. ALL GLORY GOES TO FATHER!! BLESS HIS NAME!! Don't you just
want to shout out, "THANK YOU FATHER FOR OPENING MY EYE OF UNDERSTANDING!!"
Now, let's look some more at Adam and Eve. And I hope that by now you understand
that we are REALLY looking at mankind, at you and me and our ancestors.
Gen 4:1, "And Adam knew Eve , his wife; and she conceived..."
This is where Adam "married" or became ONE with his soulish way of thinking.
This is where the carnal mind took over and when it conceived, it really
conceives!! The more rein we give the carnal way of thinking, the wilder she
gets and the more fruit she produces. IMAGINATION has taken over!!
Gen 3:5, "For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall
be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good AND evil."
You see, before the soul (Eve) was awakened, Adam did not know evil. All he knew
was God and God's ways. Man then had his "eyes opened". He became double
minded!! And he chose what was VISIBLE, not what is INVISIBLE!! This is the
ONLY SEPARATION that has EVER BEEN. IN THE MIND!! But, because it was in the
mind, didn't make it true. The ATONEMENT THAT GOD HAD PROVIDED BEFORE THE
FOUNDATION OF THE WORLD WAS STILL THERE!!! We just didn't know it. We
have still been in that "deep sleep" that was placed on us by God, at the time
that He awakened our soul. But, that doesn't change the fact that we are STILL
who God made us. The soul has just been ruling, but that's changing.
Gen 3: 9-13, "And the Lord God called unto Adam, and said unto him, Where art
thou? And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was AFRAID, because I
was naked; and I hid myself..."
Now, we see that even in that fallen state, that Adam STILL HEARD GOD'S VOICE.
But, let's go on.
"And he said, Who told thee that thou wast naked? Hast thou eaten of the tree ,
whereof I commanded thee that thou shouldest not eat? And the man said, The
woman whom thou gavest to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I did eat.
And the Lord God said unto the woman, What is this that thou hast done? And
the woman said, The serpent beguiled me, and I did eat."
Isn't this so like mankind!!?? But, at this time Adam and his soulish mind
(Eve) acquired something that he had not had before, FEAR!! And out of fear
comes defensiveness. God's written Word tells us, "Fear is NOT of God". so, we
see that mankind (Adam) is becoming controlled by his carnal way of thinking.
Most people look at verse 13, and picture (in their IMAGINATION) , God walking
up to the man, very angry at him, and saying with a condemning voice, "WHAT HAVE
YOU DONE?" But they forget Rom 8:20, "the creature was made subject to vanity,
NOT WILLINGLY, but by reason of HIM who hath subjected the SAME IN HOPE!"
God wasn't angry with Adam because He already knew what was to happen with
mankind, HE PLANNED IT!! And what was the reaction of Adam to the question? BLAME!!!!
Adam blamed the woman, the woman blamed the devil and this was the first time
that blame was put on the devil and we've ran with it ever since!! Why? Because
we feel vindicated when we can put the blame on someone or something else, for
our own decisions! We don't want to take the responsibility for our own
actions! Unless, of course, we think our actions were GOOD!! Then we don't shut
our mouth from PRAISING ourselves. It's " I, I, I, Me, Me, ME". Don't you know
of some ministers that are forever saying, "I healed, I casted out demons, I
raised the dead, I, I, I "!! That's coming from the soulish side of them,
but, we can't condemn them, because that's where they are in this journey back
to where they came from. But it should be, as Jesus said, "the works that I do,
it is FATHER doing them, for I can do nothing of my own." You see, Jesus, had
became aware that He and Father were ONE, just as we should be aware of .
So, Gen 3:7, tells us that the eyes of our understanding was opened, (our carnal
understanding). The "eye" speaks of understanding. Our eyes either see in the
natural or the spiritual. And we have been holding on to the natural and it has
become "real" to us, instead of the TRUE REALITY of who we are. BUT, do not
allow condemnation to come upon you, because this was all a part of God's plan ,
for our learning and taking dominion and returning to who we are. But, APPLY
what Truth that He reveals and the manifestation of Him through us, becomes more
visible.
In the next part, we're going to look at this "apple" that Adam and Eve ate, and
some of the other things that were created in Chapter 1.
